i dont mind Liverpool winning this

City's home form has been outstanding - we were the first team to win there since 2010 weren't we?

a few more bad results for city at home is good for us

Was Balotelli injured? Would laugh if he wasn't.

Doesn't matter if City lose, they were the moral winners overall.

The 'moral' win at weekend seems to have done the 'massive' a whole world of good.

Spurs are going great this season, to be level on points with 2nd place is great for them. I usually like to see them do well, but not tonight. Come on Everton!

So City with the guts of their team out (Kompany, Traore, Silva) are looking VERY ordinary tonight. How many times have we played without Vidic/Rio, Carrick & Rooney/Nani and yet still looked good enough for a win.

Its a long winter ahead, they have been lucky with injuries so far, but will start to get their fair share, and we all know how easily get form can suddenly disappear and then take 5 or 6 games to rediscover (like Chavs last year, Arsenal year before) and by the time you recover it, your are 6 points behind the league leaders.

SAF siad recently that right now, it all about being in position for March and April. We have a load of players coming back and despite the recent losses, have started scoring aplenty again. Just need some defensive stability/consistency and we will still be the team to beat.

Typical of the blue goons getting on the players backs less than halfway into an under-performing game. FFS.

Good. I have a cheeky fiver on the moral win at evens. It's like buying money.

Hmmmm Racist FC vs Plastic FC.....I genuinely don't care who win this one - it's kind of win-win because one will suffer as a result

City's football, but especially their team, looks like it did about 4 years ago. An above average Premier League side, nothing more.

It's amazing how well we cope with injuries. Sir Alex deserves more credit than is given.

I see city's Moral Victory on Sunday is having devastating effects for Liverpool tonight. They've blown them away.

Nah, they look out of idea's.

Think despite the hooplah since Sunday, the FA cup defeat has taken abit of wind out of them.

Lose this and suddenly they are in abit of a crisis.

Good first half from us. Good to see us to to the Etihad and dominate and have a goal to show for it.

Carroll has made a fair number of mistakes, but at least he looks up for it tonight. If he keeps at it, Savic looks like he'll let him in a few times this game.

Downing has gone back into spineless mode where he seems to think his job as a left winger is to pass it to a fullback or midfielder so they can create something down his flank.

Shit crosses, as per usual. Would like to see us play more down our right in the second half.

Henderson, Gerrard and the backfour have played well though.
