Had:

Liverpool/Villa/United/City

Suarez/Bent/Aguero (anytime scorers)

Chelsea/Swansea/Arsenal-Spurs Over 2.5

Spurs first corner
_______

Bets I very nearly put on:

Sunderland 2-2 West Brom

Strurridge/Sinclair (anytime scorers).
_______

Decent weekend overall, I'm making myself more disciplined in choosing outcomes I actually think will happen rather than putting selections in for the sake of a multiple. Shame Aguero went off injured and I bottled the other two bets.

Won both bets this weekend, took Valencia over Granada(nervy 1-0) and played it safe with Chelsea over Bolton (was going to take Fulham but bottled it)

I had Spurs to win, and Arsenal 6 corners or more, and final score 3-1.

Decent weekend bet wise. Have a few on South american football this evening as well.

Here's a decent bet for y'all. Top 4: Lay Spurs at 2.22 on betfair and Liverpool at 2.18 (say £100). Max exposure £22 - when the mighty Arse cook 'em £200 in the bin. (Basically 10/1 on us getting top 4).

Double today:

Germany @ 2.2 x England @ 1.67

The Germans did the business but I wasn't confident in England, therefore I tried to lay them at Betfair to guarantee a profit. Attempt 1: market suspended because of Rooney. Attempt 2: market suspended because of Montenegro's second goal. Unfortunate but happy with my selections again.

You shouldn't be - 1.67 for an England win was crap odds (as your lack of confidence suggests).

Best odds from a bookie at the time was 1.7, which was probably the longest I'd seen England since Wednesday. Betfair was only marginally better and you'd have to be an idiot to place multiples there (as I used to...). 1.67 wasn't crap.

not bad oddsbut I always tend to stray from England anyways.

Went with a Serbia-Italy draw which ended well. Stayed away from Germany,France even though I thought they would do the business

To anyone who has a Skybet account, and also Sky at home, you might be interested in this promotion.

https://www.skybet.com/secure/skybet...0Bet%20Loyalty

Bet £10 everyday for 5 days, and you'll get £5 off your Sky Bill (or £5 in free bets).

You can do this up to a maximum of 20 days in a month, to get £20 off your Sky bill or £20 free bets a month.

I'm just one £10 bet tomorrow away from £5 off my bill and plan to keep doing it all month.

And you can bet on anything so just put your £10 on 'sure thing' 1/100 odds and it should be pretty easy to get the £20 off your Sky bill every month.

Rooney probably ruined my 13 team accumulator the other day, other 12 came through.

Night before, Portugal under 21's drew on a 9 team one on which the other 8 already won.

Luckily my safer 5 team one got what I bet on those two back and a bit more, but would of been sweet to win like £600 in back to back days.

In the Ireland vs Armenia game I have over 4,5 yellow cards. Ref in charge of the match has given like 9 yellows and a red per game in his recent 4-5 matches. And the importance of the game being like it is I expect a hard fought encounter.

Also have under 2,5goals in the Ireland match.

Also have under 2,5 in the Greece match... cause it's Greece playing.

Over 2,5 in Norway and Turkey matches.

Well those are the bets I have placed for tonight, amongst others that I don't wanna jinx !

Nicely spotted, didnt get the chance to do something similar earlier. Fancied the red at 4's.

Arsenal and Tottenham to beat their respective North-East rivals is 5-2. I'm tempted to have a go at getting back my losses from yesterday.

Cattermole to receive a card @ 2.26 with Betfair.
O'Shea to receive a card @ 4.00 with Betfair. Up against Gervinho who's a quick fecker. Might be worth a punt.

Arsenal to win 2-0 @ 7.8

Edit: Just as I posted that and placed the bet, O'Shea dropped to 2.2.

Might have a go at the drawslater if I get the chance.

Generally alot more draws on the opening and closing group stage fixtures. Think there were 5 out of 8 draws 2 years ago on the opening night! Worth doing cross doubles and trebles on

It's easy, just think how many times your stake goes into your winnings. If the 500 doesn't include your stake it's near as damn it to 33/1.

Statistically they are the dirtiest team in the CL (this Romanian outfit). Expect yellow cards aplenty. I don't know any of their palyers so picking who to bet on is going to be difficult.

less is more Im finding these days, not chasing silly ones as much. Tiote was 13/8 against spurs, had me sweating for a little bit.

I always wait to see both teams before putting any bets on....first round of the group stage wouldnt be a night for bookings imo. Unless I see a really obvious one Im gona stick to the cross doubles and trebles on draws
