Us to win 6-1 at 33/1 looks worth a couple of quid.

What do you think about firms who provide betting advice? I found one, Elite Football Betting, apparently on last season they yielded around a 50% return, which is quite impressive IMO. I'd like to try they service but prior to that, I would be interested in knowing if one of you has had experience with these firms. Subscription starts is 79 pounds per month so I'd have to start betting more than I actually do to cover the subscription cost.

Can you advise me on that?

Cheers.

The horse racing ones have traditionally had a bad press (the classic scam was to ask for odds to £20 for each tip and then tip all the fancied horses in the field to different punters). A mate of mine had a sub to a more respectable horseracing one and found it didn't work. The elite one appears to be winning for now but if you look at the tipsters league table you'll see plenty that aren't. I would have thought that if you concentrate on one or two leagues you should be able to know as much as the tipsters.

Cnuts, what do you think about putting money on Sheffield Wednesday to go through tonight?

Both Derby and Sheffield are Championship class, nothing more. Derby were 2 down at home to them already but fought back - not sure they will do the same this time round. Moreover, Derby have a lot of trouble in the league so they won't fancy having a cup to fight for as well, unless they have already given up hopes of staying up.

At 1/1 they seem a very good bet to me. 100$ on that?

Given the games been called off, I don't think there's much money to be made there!

Reading are 3.40 to win tonight with Ladbrokes in normal time. They'll have a semi reserve team out, but then again given the number of games Spurs have played recently I don't expect them to be full strength, this tie is probably down on their list of priorities. Not a result I'm really expecting but the odds demand I stick a fiver on it

I just saw the news. Pity, but it has to be played next week so it won't escape.

I wouldn't put my money on Reading. Tottenham are a cup side and Ramos pays a lot of attention to club competition, his Sevilla team was very good at that and it will probably continue at Spurs. For me, Spurs at 1/1 look a fair bet.

4.4 on betfair, you can get also 3.4/draw no bet which looks more attractive to me.

There will be at least one draw in these games, probably Bristol v Fulham. I don't think Reading will do Spurs either, not sure they want to.

Got Liverpool's clean sheet at 1.51 on betfair just before the kick off for 80$, made me a little profit that I'm going to waste tomorrow. Any tips?

Since I cannot use it on tennis, I'll try the FA Cup. Problem is, all of tomorrow games are tricky. Apparently Havant can't play football, but 1.51 for Swansea who struggled against them at home is silly low.

So close, West Brom were 2 up and conceded an equalizer in the last minute of the game. Peterborough laughed at Accrington.

5.00 to win the FA Cup (which is great odds because I don't think anyone outside top 4 has a chance to win it and we are the favourites), but only slightly above 1.50 for the title (that's quite short, Arsenal are on 4.4, while Chelsea are 6.6). 7.00 for a Champions League triumph, we are the favourites there.

If you sum it up, you will get 52.50, so any bookie should give you the odds of 50/1 easily. Worth a tenner.

I laid Boca Juniors against Independente yesterday for 70$, as they were supposed to go out with their reserves. Made me a small profit, combined with a profit from Liverpool's game it was a 110$ daily income. Good enough.

Still don't know what to do tonight, I may fancy a little bet on Stoke to qualify as Newcastle are yet to turn the corner and Stoke look like a very good side. On the other hand, I wouldn't go with a full bank on it. I won't touch Valencia in Spanish Cup, but Real Madrid seem like a decent bet against Mallorca - to play it safe I could even lay Mallorca at 10ish.
