Don't forget that until Sunday all games are 1 hour later. Our CL game would be on at 145 central normally, but is now on at 245 central.

After all the commercials citing "first national live airing of a Premiership match in American history," once again FOX leave it up to the local affiliates to decide which programming to show. I'm getting a fucking church broadcast... again. This is a fucking joke.

They could at least put it on the FSN affiliates since it's mostly paid programming or fucking outdoors shit. Or put the match on Fox Soccer Plus for regions that aren't receiving a live feed. At noon local time they will air the second half live.

And why do I have all these channels on DirecTV but don't have alternate FOX channels? I see them listed but says I have not paid for the channel.

This is beyond bullshit. They didn't even start the second half live, instead doing their stupid little pregame show then the local affiliate airs the live feed at the 63' mark.

I fucking hate Fox.

Fuck you Fox!

Go to a commecial a minute before the second penalty, come back 2-3 minutes later and you start the match from the fucking first minute.

Absolute garbage of a network. And the quality of the replay match is shit. No HD.

I followed through various justintv feeds that (of course) kept timing out after a few minutes.

It is so asinine that a network has a specific channel for this sport and then wants to "nationally air a live broadcast" yet allow local affiliates to dictate. It's bullshit. At least show the fucking match on another channel. They know certain regions are not going to show the match live, especially in goddamn nascar rastlin' redneck land. I fucking hate Georgia.

My message to the local Fox affiliate which I'm sure they won't give a rats ass about.

To whom it may concern,

All week I was fed commercials citing the "first live airing of a Premiership match" only to discover on Sunday, February 5th, at 1100, a live church sermon was broadcast. What the hell?

Then at 1200 I was expecting the match to be picked up for the second half live - no siree, bob. Instead, I had to watch 20 minutes of crap pregame analysis of a match that was already at halftime! Finally, at the 63rd minute mark of the actual match did local programming switch to a live feed.

But alas, within four minutes the match was interrupted for a COMMERCIAL (wtf?) and then approximately two-three minutes later returns to not the live airing but to a replay from the first kickoff. And in an extremely poor quality I might add. Was the local affiliate broadcasting from an internet feed? That's how terrible the quality appeared.

I expect much better from Fox. I also do not appreciate FALSE ADVERTISING by Fox all week citing a live broadcast. This is absolute garbage and I demand better coverage and honesty. Seriously, a church sermon at 1100 and then a replay of a match that is practically over and therefore NOT LIVE (i.e. false advertising)? Give me a flipping break.

Sincerely,
An upset viewer

Far from ideal, but Fox Soccer Channel is replaying the match tonight (6pm central, I think).

Milwaukee's Fox affiliate showed various things (politics, outdoors, and paid-programming), but showed the match in full like normal on a 3-hour delay. It was shown live on the local's jr. station, but that was in standard def, so I just waited for the HD delay.

Hehe Georgia. That's tough though man. If I was in your position, I would be extremely pissed. Hopefully FOX will listen but you know how these corporations are. They only really listen when their pocketbooks are being hurt

they showed the whole match here along with Morgan's cringeworthy thoughts.

the danger with local channels is if you have weather issues, they take priority...like the CL final...but I was glad in a way for obvious reasons.

showing United on local tv is very good for the club but it is frustrating cause many here still dont appreciate the game.

there was a lot of interest last world cup. other sports personalities and celebrities were talking about US matches.

But the interest has not passed on to some of the local networks like Marcelo is talking about.

Make no mistake there is growing interest every year.

...or if the US has a 'pretty face' playing the game at a top level...err instead of say Dempsey.

That's exactly what I mean. From a local standpoint, they feel less inclined to watch something they dont understand. If the US were more successful, they'd at least have of less an excuse not to watch. At that point, I think they'd be more interested.
