I felt both Campbell and Wellbeck will make it. At least Campbell has done well at Sunderland...hope he stays injury free.

Professional contract aside, Rossi only spent 2 seasons here. We helped him but didn't produce him. We did less with him than Barca did did with Fabregas yet Cesc is considered an Arsenal product. Parma get most of the credit for Rossi.

Campbell is United. Has always looked like he'd be a PL player. Got all the qualities.

A bit late on this but great to see him get back ahead of time and hit the ground running, his equalizer against Middlesbrough in the cup was a good finish and his strike against Norwich was a corker, plus he had a good all round 75 minutes in that game and got an assist as well.

I had very high hopes for Campbell, it was sad to see him go and then suffer the long injury, hopefully he can realize some of that potential now.

He's always looked like someone that could score 15-ish goals a season in a decent side. You'd just hope injuries haven't set him back too much.

I agree. He looks very sharp for someone that's been injured for so long and I wish him all the best.

Delighted for him, he deserves some good luck after the last couple of seasons

(but don't dare score against us on the last day of the season to cost us the title...)

Of the players fit, who would you have had ahead of him?

It was a friendly. Time to try new players.
Crouch, Zamora and Defoe have been tested. They havent stepped it up. Nothing wrong with seeing how some talented kid does in training with a certain set of players.

Thats more down to injury than anything. Hopefully he can have an injury free run now and make himself their first choice striker

They should indeed reward the talented youngsters who have shown good form in the top league, e.g chamberlain... Campbell has done nothing to warrant the inclusion.

Crouch has always scored for England and provides a different option.

Agbonlahor, Johnson, victor Moses all deserve a spot ahead of Campbell.

The England management need to start picking on form not on names.

Victor Moses chose to play for Nigeria (he played for them a few days ago) despite representing England since he was 15.

Yeah, Fraizer Campbell's a huge name. That's why he was picked.

The last past of my post was clearly about the squad selection in general.

If it makes you feel better though.

Fair enough, I didn't know that.

Point remains on Andy Johnson and agbonlhour who although aren't international quality have done more than Campbell in the last year.

If they are not international quality why would they be in the team? Trying a young lad who has been plagued by injuries and come back with a bit of a bang is not a problem to me. Everyone wanted Capello to ditch the old guard after the WC... it was a fucking pointless friendly at the end of the day!
