France vs England
International Friendly Stade de France Wednesday 26th March 2008 KO - 20:00 GMT [21:00 local] I wonder what surprises Capello will spring upon us and the media tomorrow, nto to mention the Frogs of course]. Reckon Johnson may edge out Wes, i'd have Bridge on the opposite flank but we'll have to see [Ashley Cole didn't have the best of games against the Swiss nor is he in brilliant domestic form]. We will start at any rate, with Rooney in the lone striker role i expect. But he'll need far better support this time around. I am relatively optimstic for our chances though and the progress that we might see. |

Unfortunately for you then, the news that Rio and Rooney are probably two of only perhaps three players who are certain of their place in the starting XI, will not be a source of some pride and pleasure.

True that. Just saw the predicted French line up, and as individuals it's a very ordinary side. If Capello can get the English superstars playing as a team then England will have a very, very strong team, and could and should be beating teams like this.

I personally don't think England will change much under Capello. Typical Capello means gritty, determined teams with one or two match winners. Ok england can do that but i seriously doubt we'll see free flowing pass and move football from the english.
