Memorable for being a match to forget
No individual performances in the England squad to rave about
Pretty forgetfull all round really

Cisse was close then

I'm surprised they didn't offer him a new 5yr contract.

That was boring.

Ferdinand did alright, but there wasn't really much he could do. Rooney tried his best, but wasn't really disciplined enough to lead the line on his own -- saying that we looked even less like scoring when he went off. Brown was ok, but he's not really right back material. Hargreaves was terrible -- Barry did everything he did, but better.

Hargreaves and Barry were both good and shit in equal amounts.

But playing both of them was the reason we created pretty much fuck all.

Barry created a tiny bit.

Owen Hargreaves was Owen Hargreaves.

No Cutting Edge. England Need Michael Carrick in Midfield, that is all.

Well 4-4-2 was a relative disaster then, 4-2-3-1 worked far better for us.

Oh and these are the performances Hargreaves has made his name on with the England team.

When everyone else is playing shit and nowhere near the standards of their club teams at the weekend, he tries hard, makes a few tackles and a few accurate passes and because he looks better on that stage than Gerrard who was awful, Rooney who was awful (being played in a position that doesnt suit him) and the rest, he gets a big fat name ego boost.
