German Super Cup

Bayern v Dortmund, starts in half an hour.

Bayern: Neuer, Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Can, Gustavo, Kroos, Robben, Muller, Ribery, Mandzukic.

Dortmund: Weidenfeller - Piszczek , Subotic , Hummels , Schmelzer - Gündogan , Leitner - Blaszczykowski , Reus , Grosskreutz - Lewandowski

Dortmund have won the last five times the two have met, most recently in the German Cup final which was a fantastic game. Here's hoping for more of the same.

Who's watching then?

Kagawa to score 5.

I think it is Bayerns turn to finally get one over Dortmund but Dortmund will win 2-0 with Reus and Lewandowski scoring 1 each.

Götze probably on the bench. Has only been training again for a few days, same goes for Schweinsteiger, not fully fit.

Mandzukic will put a lot of pressure on Gomez for the starting spot in this Bayern squad.

Wouldn't really help that much seeing that their defense and midfield looked deeply asleep during both goals.

They are missing Kehl and Bender ATM more I feel.

Lewandowski missed a sitter after a nice play from Kuba, Reus and gotze.... If they managed to keep Kagawa this summer they would have a brilliant front 4.

2-1 FT. Dortmund wanted a penalty for handball at the end there but it would have been harsh imo.

Schweinsteiger still is not fully fit and labours with problems with his ankle. Gomez has been in surgery on Monday and will be out about 3 weeks before he can start training again. It will be end of September until he can be in the team again.
Alaba and Rafinha got injured in a rough friendly against SSC Napoli and are out another some weeks. Alaba is on crutches the next two weeks and Rafinha will get rid of his Tuesday.
And Contento is out because of an injury for the next two or three weeks, too...
