I'd have nothing against him if he was to join City. We released him so he is going to join the best club possible for him. I still can't understand why we didn't keep him on and would wish him every personal success wherever he goes, although I'd hope he wins nothing at City obviously.

Disappointed in him, while I can understand it financially, he's not going to displace DeJong or Toure, not forgetting Barry... he'll be a squad player. Whereas at West Brom he's have been guaranteed regular football - if he's really trying to prove he's fit would much rather have seen him play a full season for someone than go and get paid a fortune to sit on the bench as a trophy signing
