Location: Gloves are worn for traction primarily. Someone like Evra needs them for good throw-ins when it's raining or snowing or the ball is damp. Kaka, might wear them because he get's fouled a lot. Scraping and cutting his hands on frozen pitches

Aye, I've scored a goal like that nutmegging the keeper, it really doesn't require any sort of skill or imagination really.

Still better than a simple tap-in though.

True. Of course, the real problems start when you try to do it again and kick it against your standing leg, causing much abuse from your team-mates. In my experience anyway.

Even worse when you miss the ball completely and end up just kicking yourself.

Done that quite a few times, although it led to a lot more piss taking than abuse!
