That Zidane volley is incredible technique and timing, and on a huge stage, but I do think its slightly overrated, if it was anyone other than Zidane it wouldn't be spoken about as highly as it is.

The greatest goal ever should be a run. There are tons of candidates. We also have to take into account the importance of the goal.

Ryan Giggs probably scored the most important spectacular goal ever by my logic.
