I used to think Ian Wright was OK though after reading his article in the SUN i have changed my oppinion of the twat. The article referred to the appointment of Incy and how he thought it was unjust to expect an ex pro who played for his country to sit any type of football exam. The clueless twat assumes every ex player is capable of running a club if he's taken any notice of what his ex manager used to say to him. Thankfully Ian has stayed away from management

I'm the same. I just don't like him. He was always up his own arse when he was at United. Sure that's why he was shown the door. And then he went to the Dippers. I liked Blackburn with Sparky in charge, I won't like them with ince in charge.

Ince: I Will Emulate Fergie
Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Ince has insisted he learned much from Sir Alex Ferguson, but believes no amount of schooling will keep Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United… The former England captain was certainly taught a lesson or two during his time at Old Trafford, having earned a transfer to Internazionale after incurring Ferguson’s wrath with his cocksure attempts to rule over his team-mates. But the ex-Liverpool midfielder, whose son Thomas recently joined Anfield’s youth ranks, has tossed aside the ego since hanging up the boots. Ince will become the first black Englishman to manage in the Premier League after being appointed as Mark Hughes’ successor at Ewood Park recently. Ferguson was among the first to congratulate him on his new job, and Ince – who insisted whatever tension there was between he and his former boss has long subsided – revealed he will implement a number of Sir Alex’s managerial methods at Rovers. Lessons “I had a text off him [Ferguson] to say 'well done, congratulations' as I've had off numerous people,” he said. “We get on fine. It was only last year that he was in my office at Milton Keynes having a glass of red wine. “What lessons from him will I be taking into this job? Standards, that's the main thing I can say about him. What some people class them as are very different to what his standards are – he implements that in his team and his players. “The characters, the choice of people he picks, his people, the aura about the man. I don't want to say too much as I'll give his secrets away – but he's a fantastic manager and it's no coincidence that he's got so many ex-players now managing. “I was privileged to work for Sir Alex because his standards are unbelievable. I've been at other clubs where the standards haven't been as high. I can take that into my managerial career.” Messy Ince was not the first United superstar to infuriate his manager and he was certainly not the last either, as Cristiano Ronaldo continues to raise hell at Old Trafford. The saga surrounding the 23-year-old’s future has dragged on to a new level of tedious ferocity, the Portuguese winger announcing he wants to leave for Real Madrid and United hitting back by threatening to banish their superstar forward to the reserves. Many have labelled the two-time PFA Player of the Year as an ungrateful mercenary, eloping to Spain for better wages and leaving the Red Devils in the lurch. And while Ince believes such a view is more than justified, he also feels it would be cruel to deny Ronaldo his life-long ambition of donning the famous blancos shirt. “Fergie has made him into the player he is,” said Ince. “But it’s his dream and if you dream about something and get the chance, it becomes difficult for United. It’s become messy now — and that’s sad.” |
