the wee prick could'nt resist..Utd on the brink of a 19th title and he sayd I think Liverpool are back..and the 5 European cups are still the benchmark...why oh why do they employ such bias cunts like that...

FFS just a bit of banter between him and Gary. Stop taking every word you hear on TV so seriously.

To be fair, he's usually very unbiased and compliments us a lot more than most. Said this United side deserves more credit than it gets and is/will be a great Fergie generation.

its not that..its so so predictable..this should be a historic day for Utd and that cunt turns it round to a team thats 5th and havent won the league in 20 years...still...next year is our year..heard it over and over and over again...its so poor to have a one sided "pundit"

People on here get annoyed by pretty much anything these days. The site has turned into a proper nit-picking, mard arse convention.

Moaning about Jamie today, moaning about Mancini saying winning the final today will be harder than the semi, moaning about Barca/Madrid, etc etc.

I think he's ok actually. For the most part he's fairly unbiased in his comments despite being ex-Liverpool. I actually think him and Souness are two of the best pundits on telly.

If the tables were turned, I would expect Nev or Yorkie to say the same thing....

tbf, he did start laughing after saying it. He seems to enjoy working with Yorke. I dont mind him especially compared to when he first started out.

Way over the top. Clearly frustrated about something else and overcompensating here.

Has he got that silver/gray suit on again, it's the only thing he seems to wear on the tele. I even saw him at Cheltenham during the Festival and he had it on. Cunt.

It's called banter, get over it! We have just won a record breaking 19th league title and all you can do is come on here moaning about what Jamie Redknapp thinks.

WTF do you expect him to say? He's a fucking ex Liverpool player!

Just enjoy your day and forget about Redknapp. Who gives a fuck what he thinks anyway?

whatever he has said we have had the last laugh anyway so fuck him and let's get back to celebrating No 19! Woo Hoo! CHAMPIONES!

Is it me, or did he keep interrupting and/or talking over Gary Neville on Sunday?

Both were doing it. Neville was probably just sick of having to hear Redknapp's crap.

There was one moment yesterday, after the game, where Redknapp was almost shouting and hyperactive in trying to get his point across and Gary nervously looked around the studio and towards the camera.

Why is he always so over excited? Souness would be a better option

It was very reassuring to find that they find Redknapp just as ridiculous sitting right next to him. Gary seemed to be saying "I know viewers, we hear it too, just go to the happy place in your mind and wait it out" with his eyes.

Desperately trying to get his point in over the ex-United player next to him that has been upstaging him as a pundit throughout the season.

Reckon Redknapp is put out that Neville's come in and become the lead pundit, doing Monday Night Football etc

At one point Rooney in his post-match interview described how he and the team would take that point - in a very positive manner considering the circumstance - only for Redknapp to say a minute later that he had to disagree and no, Wayne nor the players would feel satisfied with a point at all. It was a bit weird.

Jamie was only hired because he was deemed to be the acceptable face of testosterone, after the Great Sky Sexism Scandal. Sadly, his punditry is neutered too.

I noticed this as well. Came across rudely. Much prefer Neville talking anyway - he doesn't come out with the usual tripe like the rest of them do. This is coming from a neutral...

I think Redknapp was actually responding to Rooney's claim that the City players wouldn't have enjoyed watching the second half of the game. Redknapp, whilst completely missing the point of what Rooney was trying to say, disagreed and said the City players were probably delighted.

He was working with Sky way before the Gray-Keyes incident. He's been there regularly for a few seasons now.

Aside from his excitement and tight trousers, I think he's improving. One thing he did get right, was that he said the Sturridge vs. Evra battle would be key going both ways (everyone else seemed fixated with Bosingwa playing left back).

I don't know what gets you a punditry job. Clearly being an ex-pro is the one and defining criteria, but what else? Being willing? Giving up enough time in your diary to want to bother? These should be pre-requisites.

I agree with the point you were alluding to and that's that Redknapp promotes the clean cut image, a recognisable face (and very pretty, obviously), polite and probably not too controversial.

He really is utterly clueless, that moment at half time where he claimed the Rio tackle was a foul was hilarious. Gary Neville: "That's a big call!" Barely being able to contain his laughter.
