JPT Southern Final 2nd Leg - Barnet vs Swindon - Personal request

Hi guys. Ever since I was a kid, I've supported United as my 'main' club, and Barnet as my local (ish) side, and I've been going to their games whenever possible for years now.

Tomorrow we're playing Paulo Di Canio's Swindon for a place in the JPT final at Wembley. This is obviously a MASSIVE game for Barnet (and for me personally, it's one of the most important that I've ever been too), and so I've got a little request to make of you all.

If you're free tomorrow evening, been kicked out of the house by the missus or anything like that, and you're in the area wondering what to do, then PLEASE get down to the ground and support Barnet for me - I'll be there, but it looks like we'll be outnumbered by atleast 10:1, and we're massive underdogs. It will be a fantastic game and a great atmosphere, no matter what the result. If any of you could make it it would be absolutely brilliant.

It's also being shown on Sky (I'm unsure of what channel) and so if you want to watch a bit of footie, then switch it on and get behind us! We're such a small club (even by League 2 standards) and this is our one moment in the spotlight - I want to make the most of it! Hopefully they'll be a bit of discussion going on in here, and maybe even a cheer should Barnet (somehow) win!

Not expecting much from this, but thanks so much anyway guys. Safe to say that I'm feeling the pre-match buzz already!

Sorry to bump this guys, I know it's had very little interest.

The match is on tonight at 7.30pm on Sky Sports 1. If you're bored, switch it on and get behind the Bees for me!!!

If we win you can guarantee that I'll be the happiest football supporter on here by a long shot

Cheers everyone (And once again apologies for bumping this), Urban.

Sorry mate but i think Swindon will win, they are a good side.

Bristol Rovers are my second team, so id obviosuly prefer a Barnet win.

They're overwhelming favourites. Only lost once at home in the league ALL SEASON, and conceeded only 7 goals there. And Barnet need to go and get atleast a draw (to take it to penalties). It's a massive ask.

However, we've beaten some fantastic teams to get this far, many of them arguably better than Swindon. It can definitely be done on the night, and that's all I can hope for.

Seeing Barnet play at Wembley will be one of the greatest days of my life, and I'm going to give up hope just because we're the underdogs! (as we have been every round in the competition)

It will certainly been a brilliant achievement if you do. You need McLeod to drag you forward and have the game of his life if you have any chance.

But he is certainly capable.

Yeh Rovers got to play the first ever playoff game at the new wembley, was a brilliant day. Hope you get to experience it, especially at the expense of Swindon!

Good luck

Nice to know we have an extra supporter for the night (we've not got that many to begin with!). Cheers for the words, hopefully McLeod will get his hatrick and we'll see Di Canio in tears on the touchline

Football is a cruel sport sometimes. Can't express just how gutted I am with that result. It hasn't properly sunk in about what we've missed out on yet either.

Thanks to all of you who watched it for me, I hope you enjoyed it. Wasn't the greatest game.

Fucking referees!

My mate works for Barnet and he wasn't all that optimistic before the match. They struggled a lot tbf but only lost by the one goal.

Hard luck mate. Well done for supporting your local team. And there's always next year

I've had a soft spot for Barnet since the Barry Fry days. I used to go there a lot as a kid.

Cheers lads, atleast it got a bit of interest. I'm just hoping that this result doesn't mess up our form in the league now - hopefully we can still push on and finish strongly

Thanks again for watching!
