Kenny Dalglish returns to Liverpool and football management after a decade absence.

Lets see how he will do.

Will the Liverbird rise like a phoenix from the ashes that are Liverpool at the moment?

Well this is kind of annoying. He'd be a shite long term manager but is the perfect candidate to get them (players and fans) fired up for a cup tie tomorrow.

Dont know why people are so worried? Fired up or not, they are still the same shite team and its at old trafford. We have no reason to not go out there and give them a beating.

Thankfully we'll be fielding our strongest starting XI tomorrow (or pretty much close too), so hopefully we don't get any unexpected surprises like last year v Leeds. It'll be a tough game, but we should beat them.

Yeah odds have just probably shifted in their favour for tomorrow. Still would love to destroy them.

Kenny Daglish is trending on twitter, and that isn't even a joke.

I don't understand why. It isn't as if he is sweeping into the club from out of the swirling mists, he has been there since the summer of 2009.

With Kyriagos, Skrtel, Johnson and Konchesky in defence it doesnt matter what the odds are. We'll beat them.

Agreed, if they put their minds to it they could definitely win a football match. It is a bit irksome that it happens today.

Will be interesting to see whether the Liverpool fans will treat Dalglish the same way they have treated Hodgson if results don't improve.

But not as manager, now the fans are lifted lending to the players being lofted as a direct result of that.

If we play close to our best tomorrow it won't matter if they've Mourinho in charge.

I'd prefer no 'king' in the thread title. We have our own kings at United and it's certainly not him!

Ironic that the manager who started Liverpool's problems over the last two decades is the man back in charge

That's what I've been saying to the bell-end scousers at work for months now and they won't have it.

Bit similar to newcastle bringing in shearer a few seasons back. Turns out if the team is shite no amount of returning messiah hero worship will improve the situation. Be all the sweeter to hand king kenny his head tomorrow. The horrible prick

Yes. We have different opinions of who was more responsible. I'm happy at that. Have a nice day.

DDR still existed.
Thatcher was still in charge of the UK.
Giggs still hadn't made his United debut.

I've not said who I think was the more responsible, I said it was Dalglish who started it. Two different things.

Cnut, we alll think it's hilarious, go to a Liverpool forum if you want to argue with someone who thinks it's a good move.

He's a dinosaur who's been out of the game too long, he'll probably instruct Reina to pick up back-passes.

For some reason I have a feeling this thread will overlap quite a bit with the RAWK goes into Meltdown thread.
