It was said in terms of grudging respect, kind of like the only way to beat him (and most Germans) is to kick the shit of him. I also think that he was prejudiced by the fact he hates Ballack and he'd just put two past United.

Offense was only meant to people who want to take it.

no dounting he is a world class player, probably played too long in germany to get the recognition he deserves for the great player he is, was gutted when he joined chelsea instead of us. looks like he is paying for his decision though. was a right cnut in the final though. probably had me shouting the most at the tv out of any chelsea player.

01/02: Second in the Bundesliga to Dortmund, second in the CL to Madrid, second in the German cup to Schalke and second in the World Cup to Brazil.

I think Leverkusen threw away a big lead in the league too.

I also have this thought, I think his final history make him lost the temper.

Often in football, you get what you deserve and that obnoxious, greedy, nasty prick deserves nothing.

Just as in our domestic league this year, the team that played the best football won it, not the most arrogant team, not the team that harrass the referee the most, the team that get the ball on the ground and play the beautiful game.

Viva Espana.

Fuck off Germany.

From Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tre...eble_Horror.27

Quote:
'Treble Horror'

So named after Bayer Leverkusen's 2001-02 season, the term is reserved for a side that completes a 'runners-up' Treble - being losing finalists in the UEFA Champions League, primary domestic cup and runners-up in the domestic league[3].

So far, the 'Treble Horror' has only occurred once - to Bayer Leverkusen in 2002. In the German Bundesliga the team surrendered a five point lead at the top of the table over the last three games of the season to finish second behind Borussia Dortmund, lost the Champions League final 2-1 to Real Madrid, and lost the German domestic cup final 4-2 to Schalke 04. The German national team, featuring several Leverkusen players including Michael Ballack, were also runners-up in the 2002 World Cup.

A second lesser 'treble horror' occurred for Chelsea in 2007-2008. Chelsea lost the League Cup final to Tottenham Hotspur, came runners-up in the Premier League to Manchester United and lost the 2008 UEFA Champions League Final after a penalty shootout to Manchester United in Moscow on 21st May 2008. Michael Ballack who played for Chelsea in 2007-08 also played for Bayer Leverkusen in 2002, and went on to lose the Euro 2008 Final.
So that makes 4 blown championships in 2001-2002 and 4 blown championships in 2007-2008.

Edit: Although to be fair, two of the championships he lost this year weren't necessarily "blown" by his team as much as they were simply outclassed by a far superior side.

Edit #2: I forgot the Community Shield too.
