dont write off Mame. He is a typical old fashioned English forward. With service, he will get us goals and he is a great option to have. Certainly different to Welbeck and Hernandez.

Should start for a team like Blackburn though.

Villa. How did we get humiliated by that shower?

Blackburn really wasteful on the counter now. The other Diouf wasting possession.

I expect he'll be off in the Summer for a tidy profit.

Hopefully he'll get a decent club (Everton) but he'll most probably end up at a Blackburn etc.

He just scored for Blackburn, after coming on around the 60th minute.

I don't know any more. I thought he would develop more than he seems to have. His loan spell hasn't been the best, surely.

I think he'll get a permanent move to somewhere like Blackburn or Birmingham next season.

Sadly, I think you're right. He's not exactly shining for Blackburn, although to be fair, they have been playing him as a right winger for much of the season.

I'd love it if he proved us wrong though, obviously.

Mame equalised against a 10 men strong Bolton in the 87th minute, only to see his team concede once again the next minute. What a shit team Blackburn is. He can't be doing too much on training, since he never get's to start a match any more.

Took his goal well. Latched onto a flick by Roberts and just got enough height to dink it over the keeper with his left. Looked to have a bit of a deflection which helped

But Blackburn truly only looked like scoring with him on the pitch. That doesnt mean he'll make it at United, because he probably wont

The deflection helped it go in. The movement was good but I'm not convinced he can make it at United. Looks about right for a mid table team, that's about it.

Nice finish. Still think his all round game looks a bit short to be considered for our first team but he should have a good career in the PL if we do get rid.

Absolutely not. Even his finish today was really poor. At first I thought it was a deft chip but after seeing the replay he hit it so limp and with no conviction whatsoever and was very fortunate the deflection took it over Robinson.

I seriously doubt your physique is the only obstacle to playing in the Premier League.

So Big Sam has left blackburn, wonder if he can put his best foot forward for the new manager and get some more playing time.

Seemed to have alot of it in the beginning of the season and looked to be improving with each game. I stopped watching highlights and such and now see he is confined to the bench most games.

If he wants to become a Manchester United regular, he needs to convince people by playing well. The first step is to impress the new manager in training, and then take his chance when he get's to start a game. If he's not good enough to start for Blackburn, who in my opinion have very limited options up front, I think he will have to start looking for another club.

I've always had him down as a very taltented striker when played up top. Not on the right/left wing.

Welbeck looks a different player since making the switch off the wing to heading the attack, it's surprising that a player of similar physical attributes wasn't used in such a way by Big Sam.

Strikers as wingers ? get fucked. Put him up forward in a front 2 and watch him get a shit load better.

Its all about attitude on the training grond that gets you match-time. Possibly, he didnt get on with "Big Sam" & that he shagged "Big Sam's" wife* - being the reason behind that!

*Starts rumour*

It's a good way to get them to work on other technical aspects though.

I agree with that to a point, but what about working with a strike partner ? Learning how quick his interplay in and around the box has to be. Holding the ball up etc.

If the lad is a striker, play him as one and let him improve those attributes and get them up to snuff for this league doing what he does best.

Seems to be the done thing at the moment that playing a striker on the wing in the early stages of his development mean he is going to be another Henry.

I havent seen him play much to be honest. How about his potential? He is still 23. He'll probably be given another full season to improve. Worth the try?
