Not the greatest hat trick of all time! Hopefully it just goes to show that he has the goalscorer's knack of being in the right place at the right time and making clever runs. Glad to see him off the mark, long may it continue!

Same here. Can't really see him at United long-term personally. But we might make a good profit out of him.

Just had a gander at a Blackburn forum and they like the look of him. And that's more than I can say for their last loanee, Franco Di Santo of Chelsea. They call him Di Sappointo

Great news. Even if we don`t take him back next summer then at least its great to see that we can get a good few bob for him if he keeps playing like this and if we sell him maybe it will give us more cash to invest in 1 or 2 top players next summer!

A year from today, all we will say is that Diouf got a hat-trick when he was on loan. We will not talk about the style in which he got it. I would have taken any of those goals this weekend.

From Sky's write up of the match - he also had a header go off the cross bar (off of a free kick by Pederson) and then beat the keeper to a long punt but, put the ball wide (guessing similar to his first goal for us)

Sounds like he was fairly active.

Over-hyped. I was told that we would be seeing him score 4 goals every game.

He apparently hit the crossbar with an easy chance. He was showing sympathy to Norwich.

Despite the goals not being Hollywood, the main positives are that a) This should give him a real shout at starting a few premier League games; and b) Strikers need confidence and goals breed confidence.

can't believe people are criticising the way he scored the hattrick. I didn't think it was a beauty competition, whereby you classify someone's 20 goals for the year (10 sexy goals, 10 ugly goals - must improve the sexiness ratio)

Its not that easy to score 3 goals at any time, so fair play to him.

He scores a hattrick and yet they weren't all amazing goals so not much to shout about.

Diouf hoping to help Man United's title chances by beating Arsenal with Blackburn

Mame Diouf plans to do Sir Alex Ferguson a favour by using his hat-trick-hitting form to turn over Arsenal.

The Manchester United striker is on loan at Blackburn for the season and smashed three goals past Norwich in the Carling Cup.

He will try to help his Old Trafford team-mates’ title chances against the Gunners at Ewood Park on Saturday by being even sharper.

Diouf could have scored more against Norwich.

He said: “You remember the misses and try to make it better next time. Three is never enough.”
That's the spirit! Give me four against Arsenal, and I will print DIOUF 32 on my shirt with sperm.

3 is not enough ... we could use that kind of attitude on the field at times - go for the jugular.
