Nigel Doughty dies

Quote:
It is with enormous sadness that Nottingham Forest announce the death of the club's owner Nigel Doughty.

Mr Doughty, who was 54, was found dead earlier today in his gym at his home in Skillington, Lincolnshire.

The club would like to appeal for the privacy of Mr Doughty's family to be observed at this sad time.

Will they think about postponing the game tomorrow? Or will it just be a minutes silence and armbands.

Very sad. He'd ploughed £100m of his own money into the club. Sad end.

He'd come under fire from some fans recently...they recently ejected one for abusive emails sent to Doughty.

A fan as well as an owner, hopefully Forest can get it together and stay in the league. Then try to push on into the Prem once again. Would be a fitting tribute.

I wondered about that the first time I heard about it, Forest are bottom and he's getting a lot of stick off the fans.

Real shame if true because he spent a lot of money trying to help the club.
