Probably wasn't happy here. Guessing no friends and stuff like that. With foreign kids in the reserves it matters a lot to have a player that speaks their language. Everything North of France and west of Poland can manage fine in England with little problems adapting. When you've gone into a little bit of latin flavor or French cuisine the stomach can get upset.

Ive heard that Pogba was pissed off when Phil Jones arrived and played in midfield ahead of him - it would be understandable I suppose seeing as they are of a similar age and Pogba probably felt he should be higher in the pecking order having been with the club for a couple of years.

Anyway it is just a rumour - could be bullshit like virtually everything else in this thread

I don't get this obsession with wanting threads locked.

Glad this is over though.

Fuck him anyway. I'm more concerned about the loss of Will Keane for 6 mths+ than this twat, Pogba doesnt have the right mentality it seems to play for United, unlike our other young players - Petrucci, Keane etc. Fancied Keane for a few games next season, fuckin injury set-back for the lad. Hopin Petrucci gets really fit over the summer too & pushes on!

This saga was over for me weeks ago. I'm glad it's over for all of you now as well.

It's a shame to lose him but I think we can say that Fergie did everything within reason not to, so it is what it is.

Could we not just rename it Paul Pogba and whack it in the football forum? Or would it be better to start a new one? I need a thread to laugh in when he's shit

I should have been MF ahead of Rafael.

That game was a fucking abomination tactically.

If he didn't want to sign, that's his choice, there were players before Pogba, and there will be players after Pogba

One wonders why it couldn't be left at that. The venom directed at him you'd think he was club captain who we'd coached and nurtured since he was a foetus

If we did land Modric and then with Tunnicliffe coming through....I dont think Pogba will be that great of a loss!

Replace Tunnicliffe add Pogba or Morrision, and its the same crap that was said last year. Until the youngster start playing abit of first team football and we can see the potential in real games... We need to quite bigging them up.

You're right in so far as saying we need to wait and see how they step up, but there's one thing you can say for certain about Ryan and that's that he won't mess about with contracts etc, he'll stay at United for as long as he possibly can.

You never know.. He's got really talent but I'm not going to be tainted by a kids loyalty. We might tell him we no-longer require his services.. Then who's the bastards.

Well that's totally different, what I'm saying is that he wouldn't turn down a contract renewal like Pogba has done. As long as United want him he'll be here.

I hope he goes on to have a good career. I know he's choosing to leave us and all that, but I'd still take pride in the fact that it was us that brought him through.

Sir Alex being one..I don't understand some people...Bitter but why be catty amongst ourselves? It's silly. You think you're better just because you don't give a shit? Maybe some people take more of an interest at who's coming through the ranks then others....maybe..but some think, they're so smart and i'm not sure why? It's not a competition.

Maybe "brought through" was a bit strong, "brought up" is probably more appropriate.

Regardless of what he does next, we've played an integral part in his development as a footballer. That should be something we take pride in, at least in my opinion.

Yay we brought up a cnut. Do you take pride in that? I don't. He left Le Havre, and he left us. I don't have any affection for him. I don't wish him bad as some others on here do, but I don't care if he does well.

Of course I take pride in seeing a guy that's come through our academy go on to have a successful career. We have a coaching system to be proud of and seeing players forge successful careers is a showcase of that.

I love seeing the likes of Shawcross and Simpson playing week in week out in the Premier League, even if it's not for us. Same will go for Pogba in, presumably at this stage, Serie A.

Well to be fair, there are question marks over both United and Juve in terms of the immediate future, and beyond. If I was him I'd be leaving it as long as I could...or he might have already decided, and as usual it's taking an age to sort the formalities out.

This thread is amusing though. The only trustworthy source in it is Fergie, and he's basically said he doesn't know what's going to happen.

Doesn't his contract expire at the end of June? So i expect him or Juve to announce the deal later this month or in July.

In fairness, I'm not sure the same questions are being asked about United's immediate future or beyond, and Juve's.

You've got a match fixing scandal in Italy and at least one person at Juve potentially caught up in it again. Plus whether Italy will be a better place to be than England career wise is dubious.

We've got a manager who might not be around in 3 years time and question marks over our ability to compete financially.

I wouldn't say it's an easy choice, and things can happen in the coming weeks that would change the picture slightly.
