As I mentioned before, Walcott scores 1 out of 3 shots on target, while Pedro scores 1 for every 2. He is incredibly clinical and he does it from a wide position. In addition, he can put his laces through the ball and still get most of his shots on target in doing so.

What is his real name? Pedro or Pedrito?

This. Pedro is an important player for a team widely considered as one of the best ever. Walcott isn't even assured of a place at L'Arse.

Pedrito is a hypocoristic or "affectionate" name for Pedro. A bit like Ronaldinho ("little Ronaldo").

ESPN and/or Guardian irritatingly update their MBM with Pedrito if he scores.

Nah, that surely couldn't happen...

Pedrito basically means "little Pedro", just like Chicharito means "little pea" (little chicharo). He was Pedrito a couple of seasons ago, but then I guess he came of age or something.

He's turned into a brilliant player. He seems to have got better and better since breaking into the team and is now surely one of the most feared wide players in Europe. He doesn't get anywhere near the same recognition as Barca's other attacking outlets (Messi, Iniesta, Villa and co) but he's just as vital a cog in the Barcelona machine, and he has years ahead of him.
