Player Of The Year:
Robin Van Persie Luis Suarez Gareth Bale Juan Mata Michu Marouane Fellaini Young Player Of The Year Gareth Bale Jack Wilshere Rafael Eden Hazard Romelu Lukaku David de Gea Wouldn't be surprised to see Bale win both, isnt the voting done around now? if so RvP has been a little quite lately while Bale has been Ronaldo-esque. |

Though if memory serves, PFA Young Player of the Season does not really have to be that young? |

Isn't voting for this done ridiculously early? Like January. If it is, RVP will win it, it it's done later.
Still, at least the PFA awards are at least pretty much always at least somewhere accurate. Nothing will quite match the football writers award of 2010/11 for sheer hype over quality, Scott Parker, so influential his team finished bottom, winning player of the year. Unbelievable that was. |

i dont, and never will understand this. every year theres talk of voting in january/febuary...surely it can just be done with computers in about late april with automatic tallying of votes. it doesnt make any sense at all. why must football always be so fucking backwards.
anyway, not what i think theyl be but what my nominations would be: Robin Van Persie, Luis Suarez, Michu, Gareth Bale, Michael Carrick, Maroune Fellaini. YPOTY: Gareth Bale, Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere, Rafael, Romelu Lukaku, David De Gea. I can see it being retarded as always, who was it that won young player last year? some average spurs defender? but no matter what,it wont be as big a farce as the team of the season. i can genuinely see michu and suarez up top with no rvp, hart in goals, and someone like bloody ashley williams at the back. i hate these things, remember when ginola won it ahead of keane, stam, yorke, schmeichel and beckham in the treble season!?

RvP
Suarez Bale Fellaini Mata Michu Carrick an outside bet. Wilshere won't be there, although Carzorla might squeeze in ahead of Michu or Mata. Hard to predict YPOTY because it'll probably be a bizarre list with odd inclusions and notable omissions. From United, Welbeck and De Gea certainly won't be there, don't be silly. Rafael has a chance but I wouldn't bet on it. RvP would have been a strong favourite until recently. I think the fact that he's pushed United towards winning the PL will be the decisive factor. |

I can't see anyone from us getting a nomination aside from RVP - not that there aren't candidates, I just don't think they've had the attention necessary to get such nominations.
Most likely list (NOT my list): POTY RVP Bale Suarez Michu Felliani Mata YPOTY Bale Sterling Hazard Wilshere Lukaku Nastasic |

One morning in 1988 at Preston station I saw Gordon Taylor (PFA president) setting off for London. One of the lads realised he must be going to the PFA dinner and asked him who was going to win. He's an open guy and said straight off he didn't know, but he did know that a lot of surprise votes were coming in for Mark Hughes, surprising in the sense that none of the papers had him on their shortlist.
At that time I had no interest in gambling whatsoever, damn it. |
