How does distance make it difficult? It's in the off-season for most and today's players jet around the world in luxury. Sounds like to me you only want WCs played in Europe.
I don't even care where it will be played, actually United States would be more comfortable for me as I could watch it myself unlike in Europe. I'm just pointing out that hosting a competition within Europe, where majority of footballers play.
