RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2012/2013)
A new season approaches. Fresh optimism is already creeping into the deluded folks minds over at RAWK. They probably still think they have the best squad in world football. The best supporters in world football. The best kit, the best tea lady and the best weather in world football.
And we love them for that. Here's to another epic season - don't let us down RAWK. Enjoy ![]() ![]() Already posted in the old RAWK Meltdown thread but I'll start with: http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/...topic=294870.0 Quote:

Some of my favorite classic RAWK moments.
A blast from RAWK's past. Just after Uruguay had beaten Ghana and Suarez handballed it: Quote:

I don't know how accurate this is now, I remember reading a thread after brendan's appointment and most of the posters said they would be happy if they are even near the fourth place at the end of the season. Most of them looked realistic enough this time.

![]() Recently read their thread about world team of the year last season. And while they've really tried to maintain objective with the players chosen somehow Skrtel managed to get place on the bench. ![]() See, you must applause and laugh at their delusion, since there's no other way of reacting to opinions that last year three best defenders in the world were Vincent Kompany, Thiago Silva and Martin Skrtel.

I get sucked into the RAWK lunacy at times as well, but ultimately it just gives them attention they are actively seeking. |

What is the problem with this, exactly? Means there's one thread amongst the hundreds of incidental and ongoing threads over the the course of the year dedicated to laughing at the Scousers. You'd prefer to have new threads opened up every time they drop points? Maybe a new thread every time Suarez does something vile? Come on, then.

If you find it embarrassing, don't click on the thread and get involved. I find the Messi/Ronaldo fanboi threads really embarassing personally, as are the matchday threads every single week. Guess what I do? I tend stay away from them, they don't interest me, they're pointless in MY OPINION but they entertain many other posters and that's cool with me. Anyway, back to laughing at RAWKites now. Twigg, that post was fantastic mate. |

I agree that the old thread should, IMO, be classic'd and locked. It was a magnificent year of Lunacy from the scousers. Also, yes this one can never be as good, but it is useful to have one place on the site where we can all visit to have a laugh at those poor deluded souls and not have tons of threads about them like they do for us. Also, it gives the loons a handy place to look to see what we are laughing at them for this week.
It's developed into more than just a RAWK thread, it's a Liverpool nutcase thread into which all manner of crap finds it's home. There was even some serious debate in last years one at times. |

Don't worry I agree Irwin.
Last year was a peak vintage. Suarez, Kenny, 4th, Downing.. I think the grapes have turned.. I never understood this. It was just so ridiculous. So utterly loon.. People said he 'stood up' to SAF.. It was just so bizarrely loon. What a fucking muppet.

I've been looking this evening, and sadly all I find is the meekest optimism and the odd semi-mental statement. I await a signing before the true bullishness begins.
What have we got to look forward to this year?? - Suarez biting/diving/kicking/racism/general scummyness - Brendan Rodgers dealing with it sensibly (maybe) - The fans turning on Rodgers as Suarez is bigger than Liverpool - Carroll failing miserably - Downing and Henderson being just as bad as ever - Reina continuing his decline (scousers in denial) - Gerrard getting injured - The first game they dominate and draw/lose - The first time they hit the post What am I missing?? |

Definitely hitting the post I hope it's the difference between getting points. How crazy they go when Carroll/Downing/Henderson have a slightly better season (how could they not?) is going to be great. They'll think they can dominate the world. |
