It's just meaningless drivel... I can't stand these post-match interviews! "Mascherano is a professional."
"He knows he has made a mistake."
"Babel says he just asked why."

Well isn't that just so revealing

Pepe Reina and Javier Mascherano have handed United the title.

I wouldn't say Liverpool are totally out of it either, it's still mathematically possible.

The Mancs are getting ever closer to our record. I feel sick at the thought of them overtaking us in the League stakes. Our 5-2 European Cups will not mean shit diddly when they win more titles than us. God I fuckin hate those Mancs.

from the match thread

"to be far (sic) we dominated them in large parts of the game even when we were a man down but we couldnt hold out forever"

Dominated us? they had a five minute spell when we kept giving the ball away cheaply and they upped their game a bit, but fuck me

After 43 pages of bitching they still dont get it. One of them is on about how if even the ref admits goofy-teeth didnt swear then they should appeal. He wasn't sent off for foul language you stupid scouse victims.

They were just brought back to earth again.

Its funny that they get a run of wins against shit teams in the mid table and think they are gonna beat us.

Thing is though, they were in good form and if it wasnt for the sending off and Reina's blunder who knows what the result could have been. But as it is, they bottle it in a big game again.

IF. always the key word for Liverpool fan. IF this had happened, IF that hadnīt happened, they would have done much better.

Itīs ridiculous. They always find excuses, itīs hardly ever the fact that they are just not good enough.

Exactly what if Rooney and Ronaldo had managed to score on all their chances. Then it would be 8-0

IF we had that penalty for the foul on Rooney then we would probably have been one goal up and one player up from the first five minutes.

There was a great comment from an Everton fan in their matchday thread during the game.

It went something like this:

Quote:
I have to say that Liverpool have been very very unlucky today. If United hadn't had better players, a better team and a better manager Liverpool would have won this one.

I did say they bottled it at the end there.

It had nothing to do with luck, it was down to Liverpool being an inferior team. Even though they can pull out a few shockers in the Champions League, they always end up being shown up against United and it's not the first nor the second time, it's the seventh time since Benitez took over.

The one thing I like about these threads is how so many of you actually cannot even remember the time when such comments as "We are the fourth best team in england, full stop" would have flattered us.

I'm all for digging the scousers, no problem with that at all, but I think that a majority of the scousers at RAWK are real scousers rather than just Liverpool fans. If anyone here in this thread is not from Manchester, then they have no right to have a go at a real scouser. If a plastic manc is having a go at a plastic scouser, carry on.

Oh, so if a person from Liverpool says "We have the best midfield, goalkeeper and striker in the world" then I'm not allowed to laugh seeing as I'm not from Manchester?
But if the person saying so is actually from London then I'm allowed to laugh?
That makes sense...

sorry weaste, this is the internet, the great leveller , we're all 'plastic' here ... we have google for our stats , not uncle albert who took us to the game ... I'm a united fan and love havin a giggle at our rivals when they are down, and yes fourth wouldve been nice in the darker days , but these days are brighter and it's not only plastic scousers that declared this was their year , personally i think it's nice they are back in their boxes

how are things in salford today anyway?

We will never win the league if we can not beat the 3 above us no shit sherlock.
I hope we dont draw them in the champions league if we get through because i would not be able to take getting beat by them in that, cause lets face it i cannot see us betting them for a while yet.

This man is wise.

i'm not from manchester, never been there and i don't know if i'll ever have the money to go, but i have been fucking nervous about this game since two or three weeks ago, the game was played at 10:30 buenos aires time, and i woke up at six am because i couldn't sleep, i didnt know how to spend the waiting hours, wanked, shat, checked newsnow a lot of times to see if there was any late news about ours and their players

if you don't like foreign fans, maybe the MU authorities should stop selling the tv rights around the world

Guys, don't rise to it. Every few days, or at least any time anyone mentions Liverpool, Weaste pulls out the old "stop mentioning rivalries because you're not from Manchester" card.

Neglecting to mention, of course, that a lot of us probably live closer to Old Trafford than he does.

You seem to make this point every time a thread like this comes up. It's a footballing rivalry and most posters when they mean scousers mean liverpool fans. Anyway, don't you live in Spain?
