Why? If you do not understand the question, you should not be watching footbal in my opinion, because if you do not support your local club, then it isn't realy going to get very far, and it isn't going to help football as a whole. However, if you are willing to ust gratify your own desire to watch men running around a field with a ball or have no real interest in fotbal, then off you go - feed the media moguls wth your money.

I spent 10 hrs travelling to and back from the game today. Does that mean I'm not a supporter? |

Why are you turning football into a territorial issue. One has the choice to support whom so ever they choose and embody all that involves which in this case is the Liverpool- United rivalry. That doesnt make them any less of a "fan" just because they have never actually seen United play live. Thats like saying you cant be a Jew in England because you dont live in Isreal, makes no sense. |

I like it when they say "Red Men". It always comes after the most distraught, bitter, paranoid ramblings, to signify a sudden upsurge of deluded optimism.
"Ah well. Fuck it. The Red Men will bounce back. Come on you Red Men." "Red Men"... spastics |

Why do you not look at the point I am trying to make? It does not matter where you come from to be a "supporter", however, it riles me a lot when those that are not from the Greater Manchester try to have a go at real scousers, when they actually have no fucking clue about the history of the rivalry, or how great a scouse friend can be, even if red, or how fucking vile a scouse blue can be even if he is Wayne Rooney.

And yes we are all supporters. Just because we aren't all lucky enough to have been born in Manchester doesn't make us any less of a supporter. When I'm older I plan to move up there, get a season ticket etc, shall I not bother as I won't be a proper fan ? |

the fans can be lovely, but the team, the club, what they represent, the awfull feeling i have when we lose against them is what makes it so good to beat them |

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Weaste is saying that only people from Manchester are allowed to have a go at Scousers.
This isn't the same as suggesting that United fans can't have a go at Liverpool fans, and vice versa. |
