Based on what? Other than the recycled nonsense his buddies in the press peddle.

That aside, "fuck off?" You can be upset at a question without resorting to that.

You truly believe he has not shown himself to be brilliant in the transfer market? I would think anyone with half a brain and an objective midset could see that.

You left out Boogers, Futre, and Răducioiu. And no, I don't believe has been "brilliant" in the transfer market.

Yes. In an interview. How professional. Further covering himself in glory by storming off like a three year old. But hey, he's a football manager, right?

At least it's a straight, honest response in the anger of the moment. But I imagine he'll forgive and forget and still talk to the reporter on another occasion.

Is Fergie's long-term refusal to even speak to any BBC reporter somehow better?

Yeah; there's a difference between rightfully calling someone a retard, and blaming someone and his son for something they didn't do.

Maybe so, I could have put a fair few more brilliant ones in there. Fair enough, you dont think he is good in the transfer market. I beg to differ.

Right, he is. He is a professional and should be treated like one and given credit where its due, particularly when it pertains to such a critical part of why he has done so well as a manager.

His actions, professional or not as they may have been, were warranted. Managing a top flight professional football club so well, and being referred to as a wheeler dealer is ridiculous. It's only because its good old 'Arry that people such as that Journo would refer to him in such a manner.

What exactly is so offensive about being labelled a "wheeler dealer", in your opinion?

Exactly. He can refuse to ever speak to him again. Or he can simply ban him from all press conferences.

Completely different situation. He was simply throwing his toys out the pram because of the display he'd just witnessed.

You can see what the press are going to do. They'll probably attempt to turn the footballing population against Fergie, simply because they're getting stroppy at the fact he won't talk to them. It's almost some form of warped compliment, in a way.

In this instance, when you have proven yourself to be one of the best managers in the league it would be a tad condescending, especially given the ******** surrounding other managers when it comes to their respective transfer market credentials.

For instance, Wenger and Fergie are thought to be some of the greatest talent scouts in the business (deservedly so), and the media hail them as such, whereas the best thing they can refer to Harry Redknapp is as a "wheeler dealer"?

His record really does speak for itself. The perception that has been created of him in the media does not do him justice. I can easily see why he would be frustrated at that.
