Ribery

Good player. Best player in the Bundesliga by a country mile.

Nice technique, great pace and good understanding of the game. Very hardworking which is quite rare for a flair player like him.

Alongside with C.Ronaldo, were the 2 best wingers in World Cup 06. Not far behind C.Ronaldo in terms of natural talents.

Would join Arsenal someday.

Any thoughts?

Good player. Have to keep an eye out for him in the Euro's as he looks the bit.

Also looks like Gary Neville crossed with a pirate.

I wanted him at United instead of Nani. Even had a thread about it here a while back, where I got laughed out of the forum for suggesting he was the most in-form winger in Europe (which, at the start of the season, he was).

I've only seen him once this season - in the UEFA cup against Bolton. He was excellent (until he was taken off after about 60 mins when Bayern were winning 2-1 - after which they were shit and Bolton equalised)

He is a very talented winger. However I am extremely happy that we got Nani instead.

Excellent little player. He's always reminded me a little bit of Scholes, different positions notwithstanding. Similar frame, intelligence on the ball, and both liable to pop up with a goal.

Once I saw a picture of Ribery while he was still at Marseille, I thought it was Gaz wearing a Marseille shirt

Good player indeed, I hope he didn't sign for Arsenal

Still laughing. He is definitely ugly enough to play up front for United, no question. Was excellent at WC 2006, and I've seen some highlights of him this year for Bayern that were quite impressive.

Bayern will be back in the Champions League next year, and they won't be pushovers. They might not be seeded high after not qualifying last year, so maybe we'll get them in pool play.

I heard when he was born, the doctor slapped his mam.
Good player though, seems wasted in the Bundesliga, yet with him, Klose, Toni and Podolski, I expect them to reappear in the Champions League with a bang.

Decent player with great pace.

A little over rated by most who bring him up.

I have seen him play a lot for Bayern and he is skillful and pretty good beating players on one vs one. Anyway our Ronnie is better than him without a doubt.

Bayern is a pretty big club. However they are something of a big fish swimming in a little pond.

Then again isn't that really the case in all the major leagues?

The Prem has 3 big fish and a couple of medium sized fish.

La Liga has Barca and Real.

Serie A has what, the Milans, Roma and possibly Juve?

I will admit I am not up to speed so much on Spain or Italy so I could be missing someone.

the ease with which he moved past some england players last night must have been embarrassing for the english players and fans.

Ribery's solid and quite tough player.

Tons of stamina and good technique.

We bought Hargreaves for £17m.

They invested £17m in Ribéry.
