Scousers looking good!

Reports seem to suggest, the Anfield scousers are yet again having another brilliant pre-seson!.... Surely this is gonna be their season (again)!

Drew 0-0 against Hertha I think with Voronin missing a penalty.

I actually think they are going to struggle for the UCL-place this season.. Is Barry coming or not ´cause he would be their only "UCL"-signing this summer. They lost Crouch, who I guess no one rate but is a great squad player and if Babel ain't gonna perform a miracle(20+ goals or so) only Torres has the ability to bring points to Rafa by himself..

They've bought and 3rd choice goalkeeper and two mid-table defenders.. Places 4-7 are awaiting IF you ask me.. then again,,

No way - they got a draw against them?

We are in trouble this year boys.

Does anyone else really think Liverpools fans are as deluded as they portray? Or is it just pointless hope that keeps them going - like the hope that makes them go down the job centre every week in the vague hope they would find a job.

The kind of hope that drives them to the dentist once a year in the promise of keeping all 3 natural teeth they have left.

The kind of hope that takes them past Booze Buster everyday in the promise of it being "free beer day"

The kind of hope that makes them click on every single "you have won a free wii" or "we can make your penis larger" pop up on their ancient relics of a computer.

The kind of hope that comes with each child born - "This one will be different, I can feel it. This one will be free of drugs, drink and stay out of prison"

The kind of hope that they will be released on each parole board meeting.

And with that, I bid you farewell. Im off on holiday for 2 weeks so take care and ill be back on here when im back!

It's the fucking European Cup.

And as for that pile of horsepoo you've just posted all I can say is, thanks God for Sami Hyppiia, otherwise I'd start to believe all Finns were dicks.

I think you have it spot on there mate. I think most of the Liverpool squad would struggle to get a place in UCLA this coming year. Personally I'd be happier if they studied at Liverpool Uni and continued to play for the club. As for us signing a UCLA player. Well I can't see it happening but you are probably much more in the know judgying by your use of accronyms.

Here's a not unlikely series of events:
  • Liverpool sign Robbie Keane and Barry
  • We miss out on Berbatov and either lose Ronaldo to Real Madrid or hold onto an unsettled player who fucks up our team spirit by sulking about missing out on a massive pay-day
  • Arsenal "one big signing" fails to settle in and Adebayor "does a Ronaldo"
  • Chelsea lose Lampard and/or Drogba and Big Phil struggles to adapt to PL football

If all of these things happen, I reckon Liverpool have as good a chance of anyone at winning the league. Easy to forget they weren't all that many points off the top last season. Closer than they have been in ages.
