If I see Terry or Henry lift the World Cup I think I will be physically sick.

I actually don't want England to win, pretty much because it will be Terry lifting the trophy

Wasnt that great to be honest.

I could only agree with 1 or 2 of those points. England winning would be almost universally positive for me.

Was quite crap, Sir Cashley was the only one that stood out and I don't think he would get a knighthood anyway.

Basically they weren't 10 reasons....they were just one reason, the players will be knighted, stretched to 10. I imagine he ran out of ideas after that one, rather shit, idea.

I love the way the whole nation gets behind the team during a tournament.

Therefore the shite flags get a thumbs up from me.

Lifetime punditry for all members of England squad. Imagine in 30 years time Matthew Upson on 'Focus' pontificating about whether Bahrain have what it takes to win the World Cup.
Was quite funny, the rest are failed attempts at trying to make the country laugh.

How many players received knighthoods after 66?

I would hate for the likes of Terry and Gerrard to be knighted, whereas the likes of Scholes and Giggs are not.

I can imagine Terry getting one if England do manage it, at the very least.

Sir John Terry of Barking. Urgh.

If he captains England to a world cup win then surely it's deserved.

I but stomach churning though I must admit.

I think only Bobby Charlton and Geoff Hurst got knighthoods after the 66 World Cup. Although everyone else who started ended up getting at least an OBE or a MBE. I really doubt the players if they won would end up getting knighted straight away, but wouldn't be surprised to see MBE's getting thrown about.

Also should add I reckon Giggs is a cert to get knighted once he retires.

I'm half English BUT I would only want them to win to help the economy and draw even more attention to the premiership. Sadly there are a number of reasons why it'd be fucking awful.

In saying that, just imagine: Foster, Brown, Rio, Carrick, Rooney coming back with a world cup medal. Wouldn't be too bad
