That's the other thing acrebo, if Anton didn't know about it on the pitch, and was made aware afterward, then why would Terry speak out in the first place, unless he's done a quick time jump into the future? If Anton didn't say anything on the pitch, what could possibly give Terry a reason to say that anyway? Surely he can only respond with the comment once Anton has said something.

In JT world he is never wrong even when he's sleeping with his teammates partner.

You can't blame Anton for being silent. Its risky business taking on the England captain.

This could all be sorted if Ashley fucking Cole didn't decide to prance around in front of him.

Mystery solved !

The most likely thing is that Terry was calling him a cnut and using "black" as another adjective, not as a particularly racist insult, just as an insult.

I don't really see how the word black makes what he said racist. Anton Ferdinand is black and Terry was calling him a cnut. I don't see how it would be any different than calling someone a "tall cnut" or a "blonde-haired cnut". In fact, the inference by people that using the word "black" as an adjective is racist is probably the most racist thing of all.

Either way though I despise Terry, so throw the book at the racist thug!

Tall people and blonde people aren't races so are per definition not able to be targeted with racism per se.

Oh, and neither are scousers, so you ain't a racist if you call someone a scouse cunt.

I follow some of the journos, get a heads up as soon as they put up new articles, some United journos(put up pics, interviews, reminders for things on MUTV) and CNN/BBC/Al Jazeera along with some american sports journos, Bill Simmons and a few others.

This was retweeted to me, but yes, it is mostly rubbish.

Does Terry have previous when it comes to racism claims? Or Xenophibia? I can't remember but something's in the back of my head. Could well be wrong.

After research it appears he doesn't, but has abused some Americans about 9/11.

^ post 9/11...he was drunk with some other Chelsea players, saw some American tourists and said/did a few not so nice things...

Quote:
The 9/11 party
With their flight to an away match at Levski Sofia grounded in the aftermath of the Terror attacks on New York and Washington in September 2001, Chelsea players found themselves at a loose end. Some went home to watch CNN, but Terry Eidur Gudjohnsen, Frank Lampard and Morris had other ideas.

After visiting a couple of pubs - where a "hammered" Gudjohnsen stripped off and threw peanuts at punters while Lampard and Morris urinated in a rubbish bin outside - the group went on to a local bowling alley where they hurled themselves down the lanes and saw former colleague Frank Sinclair, who by now had joined the party, almost decapitated by the pin-changing mechanism.

Finally they ended up in the bar of the Posthouse Hotel at Heathrow, where stranded travellers, many of them Americans, had gathered to watch events unfold on TV. Instead they were treated to the players throwing food around while pictures were shown of sobbing firemen searching through the rubble for the dead, before one player exposed himself to the appalled throng.

Chelsea FC subsequently fined the trio for their behaviour.

I was told this by a good friend of one of the players there, nothingabout 9 11 was mentioned by the players. Might be bollocks but thats my understanding.

I would be inclined to believe that. The 9/11 part being a nice bit of spin for the gutter press.

He was sent off against Spurs for an off the ball incident. The rumours are/were that the ref had heard Terry call King a "lippy black monkey".

If he did, it would have become known to the press. It was probably something nasty but not racist. There were plenty of players around during that exchange, there's no chance it would remain a secret and even if CFC players wouldn't tell on Terry, Spurs players would certainly back King. Some twat simply started a rumor and plenty of twats followed suit.

Does anyone really believe in this day and age something like this could have been hushed up? Especially in England where tabloids would be all over it in a second?

I think the press big up one story and wait for the next and then big that up and so on so forth. To be honest, I don't think they give a shit. Anything to sell a rag.

Anyone got a decent video of that 2006 sending off, I think that was the game where Lennon scored the winner with his left foot but funnily enough I can't remember this incident at all. Apparently all the black Tottenham players were angry, I'd like video footage to confirm this but the videos on YouTube are ones from the crowd where you can't really make anything out.

EDIT:The BBC has it down as an altercation with Chimbonda(racists)

There were only four white players in the Spurs lineup on that day. Spurs players may have been unhappy but the fact that they were black was probably a coincidence.

anti, you know nothing about it just like the rest of us... your interpretations carry just as much weight as anyone elses in here. I'm of the mind that something went on and was brushed under the carpet, similar to what will happen now....

Edit: I'm sure you'd be able to find a thread on it somewhere....

Why on earth would the players or media cover it up? It's a massive story "England captain racially abuses teamate" that would sell papers. The only reason they would have to not report it is a) they are saving the story for a slow news week or b) it didn't happen.

As I said I don't know what happened, and you talking about players or media means nothing, it's entirely possible that the clubs and those players present chose to keep it quiet. If you disagree then you've been living in a bubble the last 10 years...

And they'll sign Suarez too and pretty soon the Chav's dressing room will resemble a BNP convention.

I wonder what Chelsea's black players make of all this? I can't see the likes of Drogba or Anelka wanting to be around an out-and-out racist.

I'm pretty sure "black" covers a few different races, but I don't really understand getting offended by someone using the politically correct name for your ethnic group. Would it be sexist to call someone a "female cnut", or just offensive? Likewise ageist to call someone an "old cnut"? I certainly wouldn't be insulted by the "white" part of someone calling me a white "cnut".

Why would it be there if it's not meant to be insulting?

Unless you're suggesting it's normal to drop innocuous adjectives in the middle of a tirade

As I said before I think it's comparable to "old cnut". Maybe it is supposed to be offensive but why it actually is perceived that way I have no idea.

Old people weren't systematically rounded up and enslaved as a group, for one.

I would expect to get my ass kicked if I went into a bar in El Paso and called someone a 'mexican cunt'. Surely I don't have to explain why.
