Well, considering they have a right to fine him for gross-misconduct, I'd say they also have a right to carry on fining him for persistent gross-misconduct. Reading Daily Mirror articles doesn't make you bright Lance.

£47m was always more than he's worth but I agree with how they're approaching it, I can understand that they want to make as much back from the wasted 200-300k a week he's on. Tevez has made his bed and he deserves to lie in it, no easy exits.

Nope, my point exactly.
![]() And I never denied that he's getting paid: I just believe he'll be getting fined most, if not all of that back, because City have a right to fine players for misconduct. |

Tevez can only get fined if he refuses to train/play i.e. perform his duties as per his employment contract.
In that case, if I was City, I'd throw him in the reserves (full well knowing his ego will be too big to handle that). |

So "goon", if they have't overlooked it then what are they doing?
If that isn't overlooking it, I don't know what is. I think someone needs to check back in the fountain. |

He's getting paid because employment law as you pointed out (via the Daily Mail), ensures this. But yeah, I'm pretty certain City will be fining him at present, or as you say above, will fine him/sue those wages back once he leaves.

City are contractually obliged to pay Tevez £250k which they are doing.
But isn't Tevez obliged to provide his time in return? If he is not then isn't this a clear breach of contract? I assume City do not want to sack tevez because they would have to give him his registraction and lose out on a transfer fee. But can't they fight a case in court and sue Tevez for loss of this transfer fee? |

Yep, they should be able to - unless of course Shekhk Mansour is a turd and they gave Tevez permission to fuck off until a suitable buyer is found for him.
i.e. they'd rather pay that poisoned chalice to stay away from the rest of the squad before he infects anyone else. |

From what I can see it's pretty straightforward. City don't want to do anything that will prolong their relationship with Tevez, particularly if he decides to sue them. They'll still have the right to sue him for the money when he leaves, though I imagine they won't want to do that.

And it "doesn't look like" anything, a line quoted from the Guardian mean nish push. One thing I'm also sure of is that City don't want that cancer back. |

Has Tevez put in a transfer request? If not then will he receive a loyalty bonus? If anything comes out of this saga it shows just how powerless clubs have become when they deal with big players. |

But if he has wothdrawn them then he still gets his bonus?
Ie he puts in 5 requests and they are either turned down or withdrawn and then the club sells him when no request is valiud - he still gets his bonus? Also can a player be fined indefintely? Or is it likely the club will sue him after he leaves? I assume the former is more agreeable than the latter where there are added costs and uncertain outcome? |
