It probably didn't and I'm sure he got something out of it. Either way though this could be the thing that just gives City the edge in the title race. Could also the thing that destroys them as well....

Mancini should lose massive respect from a lot of players if Tevez plays again for his team.

Although seeing him mess Man City around is quite funny. For the good of football he really needs to be moved on in the summer. The lies and treachery from his camp aren't fooling anyone.

He is a disgraceful twat.

That said, I expected him to make an explosive impact on the team and after a few good performances he would win back fans and teammates support.

People who are saying this is a bad thing for Shitty are deluded.

I agree with this , football fans are a fickle bunch and a few goals and a few good games , City fans will forget how much of a twat this guy is.
After what he said Mancini should let him rot , but he wont.

Don't know if he'd win team mates support back, imagine if you've worked your bollocks off all season to get city to where they are now to watch the club bend over backwards for someone who has not been there, is not part of the team and you see your team mate dropped. This one could go either way.

I wonder how many people slamming City and their fans love Rooney again after he signed his contract, but enough of that, our club and fans are clearly a cut above the rest of course..

Comparing a guy who requested a transfer and then signed a contract within 2 days to a guy who has been on a strike for 4 months. Well done.

As the two posters above have said, the situations are completely different. Little to no similarities between the two.

Tbf whilst rooneys wasn't quite as bad as what tevez did it was still extremely bad and there were plenty of fans who wanted him out. Difference though is how it was handled. Fergie used his experience and didn't let it get to a situation where Rooney staying would be seen as a weakness. Mancini let his emotions rule and said he would never play for city again and so him returning looks like a back track, because it is.

Of course they are 'COMPLETELY' different, I'm sure there are City fans who would like Tevez out by the by, so bit unfair to paint them all with the same brush based on what a few have said. Of course we are far superior in every way though, goes without saying!

Duration of the 'saga' is irrelevant, 2 days, 4 months, 4 years... who gives a F?

I've never tried to highlight that I am completely objective, or think that I am, but if you draw that from my point then it's your perception not my problem.

I dunno then what was the point in adding those lines in your post. Makes you look like bit of a dick tbf.

Oh and FYI obviously the duration of the saga is relevant. Tevez has been acted like a twat since a year or so for City, Rooney acted like a twat for 2 days, realized his mistake and then signed a new contract. Even then majority found it difficult to accept and some of them still does. Whereas Tevez has been acting like this for last one year, and it's practically confirmed that he'll leave the club in the summer, I can't see how City fan can warm to him.

Edit: Reading this thread
Bluemoon-MCFC: Manchester City, Man City • View topic - Tevez finally apologises
the majority are telling him to fuck off, so fair play to City fans.

Realized his mistake? Unless his mistake was not earning enough money then that's hardly accurate is it?

That's why I say duration is irrelevant, they both put two fingers up at loyalty for cash/playing time, Rooney got his cash, Tevez didn't get his playing time. TBH I think fans (of ALL clubs) will warm to anyone who will play well for them whatever they have done, which is why I find it funny at some people's disgust that some City fans are willing to forgive Tevez, there is no need for that kind of arrogance.

Yes, and I'm not surprised about that. I don't have a problem with those who instantly forgive Tevez but at the same time I don't know how they can forgive him so easily. As a poster has said in that thread he's done the following (bit of nitpicking below):

Quote:
  • He cheated on his wife when he was a United player and it effected City's season as his wife had left him and he had to go back and forth between Argentina and England to see his family,
  • He publicly moaned about Hughes being sacked,
  • He publicly moaned about Mancini coming in,
  • He publicly moaned about Mancini's training schedule,
  • At the end of 2009-10 season he said he wanted to leave so City mistakenly offered him more money, gave him the captaincy, got rid of certain players and said he can take holidays to go and see his family just to keep him sweet and get him to stay,
  • He still complained about Mancini's training schedules,
  • He openly showed his anger at Mancini on the pitch after an unacceptable performance (his effort levels were none existent and his product was awful) where he was substituted for Zabaleta,
  • Against Newcatle at home in October 2010 - out of nowhere with nothing having gone against him and nobody having wound him up - he booted the ball against the advertising boards and picked up his fifth booking of the season (to me it looked absolutely on purpose) and in the next week where he should have been training with the squad he went of on holiday but not to Argentina to see his family but with some bint to Tenerife,
  • After a great run of points won we were top of the Prem, but in December 2010 he came out to the media and said he hated Manchester and didn't like Mancini and put in a transfer request as he didn't want to live in Manchester or play for City anymore,
  • After not getting a transfer he moaned about Mancini and City as a club a bit more and moaned about our fans being obsessed by United and said he didn't like the songs we sang for him as they were more anti-United than pro-Tevez,
  • From February to May he didnt score a single goal from open play, his effort levels were average and his physical shape was looking quite bad,
  • On the way up the steps at Wembley he threw City scareves away that were given to him,
  • At the end of the 2010-11 season he came out to the media and slated Manchester saying there's nothing to do, there are only two restaurants, he didn't like the people and then he handed in another transfer request,
  • He moaned about not getting a transfer,
  • He moaned about Mancini again,
  • It was unclear whether he was even going to bother coming back to City after the Copa America, he did bother but was very late back breaking club rules,
  • [after this, when he came on against Bolton as a sub early this season he got a big cheer of loads of Blues in the crowd - WHAT THE FUCK?! ... I certainly didn't cheer the cunt!]
  • His effort levels when on the pitch were average and he was fat as fuck,
  • He was on the bench at Bayern München in October and when called upon my Mancini he sat there and refused to warm up and get ready to come on,
  • He went off to Argentina and hasn't returned since,
  • He's slagged off Manchester, the club, the manager constantly and said he never wanted to return,
  • Just before he did return he complained about Macini yet again and said he was treated like a dog,

... what's next? Because he will fuck us over again, that is almost a 100% certainty!

I do not trust him!

(he has apologised for just one of these incidents, via someone on the club website writing it for him!)
Like I said there's a bit of nitpicking by the City fan there but if you take the bits in bold especially into account, it's not surprising there's a lot who haven't forgiven him.

I'm not saying they are the same, they are just similar, at least too similar to be disgusted at City fans forgiving Tevez, in my opinion.
