Things that will and won't happen in football in 2013

Will happen:

Mourinho will leave Real Madrid and move to Premier League

Guardiola will also take a job in Premier League.

QPR will to down and their owner will pull the plug, meaning they go the same path as Portsmouth.

There will be a £50m transfer.

Cavani, Falcao and Hulk will move to new clubs.

There will be a shocking transfer to a Russian club, someone very high profile to Zenit/Anzhi.

Ronaldo will sign a new Madrid deal.

Two or three Borussia first-team players will leave.

Messi will break his 91-goal record.

Won't happen:

Ronaldo won't score more than 50 goals in a season.

Liverpool won't sack Rodgers.

Benitez won't leave Chelsea.

English team will not make a Champions League final or semi-final.

Barcelona won't win Champions League.

Cal won't admit that Messi is superior to Ronaldo.

The double negative is confusing me.

So Ronaldo will score more than 50 goals and Cal will suck on Messi's little toes?

There's no double negative in any of those sentences.

United will win the league, with two games to spare.

Liverpool player makes accusation of racism at zenit, causing headlines for a couple of weeks.

Guardiola will become the new united manager... i really hope not but i feel ferguson will go this time. all the people who have cursed him endlessly this season will declare him a legend and say he cant be replaced.

mancini will get sacked at the end of the season or early in new season.

one of citys bigger names will leave in the summer, possibly aguero.

scholes will retire again

united will get a run of clean sheets with evans and vidic at the back, in a crucial run of games.

a blip in feb/march will shorten our lead at the top and there will be widespread condemnation of the team with many likening it to last season and stating that we havent learned our lesson. ferguson will take most of the blame.

Given that you've titled the section "Won't happen:" they effectively all are.

Ferguson, Scholes and Giggs will retire.

Manchester United will win number 20.

Mancini will be sacked.

Mourinho and Guardiola will both start next season in the PL.

Suarez will put in a transfer request at Liverpool.

Bale will leave Spurs if they fail to reach the top 4.

England will fail to finish top of their qualifying group.

Cleverley makes real progress and becomes a recognised starter for United and England.
