He was slightly below world-class in 07-08

A part of me feels a bit sorry for Tevez, I wish he stayed as he was one of my fave players but he was not willing to perform the Micheal Owen role and at only 25 (I think) you can understand why. It was a shame watching him score 4 goals and being substituted to the bench, or watching him warm up for big games like against Chelsea in the league with the entire stadium chanting his name at 0T to not actually come on. Or even have to sit out against Inter when we only had one striker in Berbatov. I'm sure during that period Rooney was injured he always knew he was going to be ousted when Wayne returned. All the signs pointed that way. It makes his app stats look healthy but it does not tell the whole story.

At the end of the day it's pretty clear that Sir Alex just did not rate him as a first choice player and I'm always going to ride with the manager. Football is not a game based on sentiments, especially at the biggest club in the world and if you are not rated that high, it is what it is. Why do people think Tosic has not even got a game yet, whilst Obertan has?

It's unfortunate things ended the way they had and I'll always be grateful to him for helping us win the Champions League, his performance against Barca would always be in my heart. His lungs were left firmly on the pitch at the end of that game. Hate him or not, he's still a part of our prestigious history, that wonderful class of 08.

He deserves better than bloody City, the shame of Manchester, but oh well.

- His shooting makes vassell look like pele
- Carlos Tevez is very overrated and never worth the money we’ve spent on him, he scored a few crackers at United but thats about it. He’s a good squad player, nothing more. Ferguson was laughing when he got rid of him and his sulking on the bench.
- I’d have put that chance he had today in that he ballooned over from 3 yards.
- It was funny to wind up the rags when we got Tevez, but fuck me he’s turning in to a monumental embarrassment. Has done fuck all for ages! Think we should just bite the bullet and get rid tbh. embarrassing.
- I have to say how bad his first touch actually is has really surprised me.
- tevez isn’t as good as people actually think, if we haden’t of got him from the rags no one would of gone on about him as much.
- He looks so poor that even the clueless will pick up on the fact he is not that good soon enough.
- Tevez isn’t, wasn’t and never will be a £30m player. He has yet to justify buying him never mind his price tag.
- I want my strikers to offer a goal threat – i’m not that arsed if they turn the odd certain goal kick into a throw in.
- Workrate=great, quality=zero. Has to improve drastically because on what I’ve seen so far we’ve signed a £25mill Dickov.
And my favourite…
- fergie knew what he was doing when he let him go, we are a fucking joke!
With all that in mind it is still a source of astonishment to me that there were demonstrations about him leaving on the day we won the title.

You know exactly what kind of response you're likely to get from a post like that.

You're a bit of an attention-seeking WUM, aren't you?
