What about the midfield, no offense if he is a swedish hero or something but will Tobias Linderoth still be playing? i think he is a very poor football player and only makes sweden worse. |

I think Elmander and Zlatan are certain to start with Henke and Allbäck to get games. Even though he has done well in Germany and earlier in Allsvenskan I'm not convinced about Rosenberg just yet. RAJALAKSO is the hope of Swedish football, but still young

Sweden squad. I've seen Kallstrom play a few times and he looks like a good player. I'm not from Sweden, but am I correct he's not in the starting 11? |

Fair enough sweden need a defensive midfielder, but he is like a worse version of lee carsely. Anyone with these types of players will do nothing. YOu have to have at least the ability to find a team mate. Sweden have good players, very good players and could be a decent attacking outfit if they could keep the ball but Linderoth will give it away. Larsson is a much better player than him Seb that is. Kallstrom might be hit and miss but that is better than miss and miss. Ljungberg is past it, i wouldnt want him to play. Wilhemsson looked good for sweden but has struggled with clubs.
I like sweden but i feel that the manager cant get the best out of his players and doesn't have the means to make them a force. Who is this Rajalakso? age? position? potential? |

The new Ryan Giggs. 19. Left winger. Massive. Seriously we'll have to wait and see, it's very hard to judge a player in the Swedish league especially since the game is so slow in comparison to the big leagues. Some players look like Maradona only to flop at some English 1st division club, but he's the most exciting player at my local club since the days of Källström, Elmander & co. I wasn't really serious about him being the future of Swedish football

Cheers for the info Iron Stove, you know i'm a big Zlatan fan and he was poor at the world cup but i felt that the rest of the team were even worse. Linderoth for me was the very worst because he simply could not keep possession and i just feel he is a very limited player.
Kallstrom may be inconsistent but at least he can do something a little different. The team should be built around Ibrahimovic because he is at his best when he has movement and runners around him. I think you have a tough group but if the players play to their potential then sweden have the ability to go far. The world cup was so dissapointing. People talk about england being the big dissapointment of that tournament and they were awful but for me Sweden were the very worst because they couldn't even beat England. I think after a campaign like that the manager should be replaced. |

Lagerbäck is a tedious uncharismatic fucker, but he has one of the, if not the best records of any manager we've ever had. Let's hope we have a good tournament but I'm not overly optimistic. |

have you seen zlatan play almost week in week out for the last 4 years?
he's won 5 league titles in a trot (yes i know the juve ones were stripped, but lets not get into the validity of calciopoli and who brought up the charges). top class on the pitch in every way. his 'ego' is also different from eto'os. they both have big ones but zlatan i think could come here and become cantona-esque. people on here want berbatov, ibrahimovic is berbatov times 5. |
