when I open internet explorer, and try to browse to a site it comes up saying the following
Most likely causes: You are not connected to the Internet. The website is encountering problems. There might be a typing error in the address. however when I run firefox it connects with no problems at all also when I run the 64 bit version of Internet Explorer it works without a problem (although no flash player) I am running Vista Home Premium 64 bit and when I try to download IE7 from the microsoft website it tells me it is not compatible with my operating system Bizarrely I have a virtual machine with an XP Pro build on my vista machine and that one will not work either on the normal IE Browser noticed a shed load of updates on 14/02 but they were all official MS updates any ideas? anyone know where I can d/l the vista version of IE dont fancy doing a rebuild as I have just got everything i need working on it |

You've got firefox and you're wondering where you can get IE7 from?
Strange. Ah well, let's have a look. Nope, had a look and although MS extol the virtues of using the two in synch, there's nothing to say that there's a Vista-specific version. That's just a quick glance though. |

Given up on the "hooky" Connectivity cable for my phone. Sent it back and waiting for refund. Bought a kosha one on Ebay so waiting for that to arrive and I'll keep fingers crossed that it works. Should be here tomorrow, so I'll keep you informed.
Thanks for your help, guys. ![]() |

A "Friend" has downloaded a load of AVI files (about 100, approx 100mb each) and needs to convert them into a Ipod friendly format (eg MPEG).
Any ideas on programs I can use....ahem, tell my friend to use? |

Need help please!
Im trying to forward my ports due to having very sh1t download speeds on Bittorrent but i cant find my DSN address i have gone into DOS and ipconfig/all but the DNS is the same as the default gateway address which is wrong, does anybody else have any other methods? I would ring my ISP for it but the have not charged me for the internet for about 6 months and i dont want them finding out they still supply me.. BTW. I have allowed access through my firewall and windows default is turned off. I just gett very poor speeds sometimes nothing at all. I also use LimeWire which downloads at great speeds so.. |
