Hmm....
Strange that you can't see it in add/remove programs. There are probably bits of it left behind in the registry. Before you go messing in there though, i would try installing Norton again....the exact same version if possible....and then do an uninstall with the uninstaller that comes with it. That should solve the problem. If not, you are going to have to get a registry editor and hunt down any traces of Norton. |

"You either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Click here to get the latest flash player."
I'm getting messages like that all over the place. I do have the latest flash, java, and it's all enabled. It happened the last time i cleared my history/temps files etc and did a disk cleanup. I fluked making it work again by clicking a load of buttons but i'm not having the same luck this time. Any ideas? |

Loops, just reinstall it when you get that message. That will probably solve your problem. |

I've just disabled all the add-ons apart from the java and flash ones. Gone into Internet Options, unticked the box for the pop-up blocker on the privacy tab, even disabled use of pop-up blocker in the custom level on the security settings. Still no luck. Am i best off just reinstalling IE?

My assumption then that you are a cretin, although at the time misinformed, was obviously correct. So go ahead....god of all things PC....enlighten me on how re-installing and then uninstalling the app with the supplied uninstaller will screw with his machine. While you're at it, explain how getting someone to go ahead and delete reistry entries is the safer option. Quote:
Unlike a regeditor, this tool specificly knows what to look for so you can avoid digging around in the Registry yourself. Get it here *Note* If you haven't already installed another AV, remember to disconnect from t'internet before running this as it will leave you totally unprotected. |

And how many posts did i post? You are not very clever, are you?
Once again, yes, it's safe as these entries belong to a program which doesn't exist on his computer anymore. Is that too much to comprehend? I guess not, it's just easier to be a prick. |

Whenever I downloading any files, there is always a pop-up message about the information of the related files from the browser, how do I prevent this one for keeps coming? I'm using Mozilla Firefox 1.0.4.

My problem is that i can't download anything. Before my computer was downloading things perfectly on ares. Then I started to use bitlord. The first download was really fast but then I removed that particular file from the bit lord folder and put it in "my videos", after this all my downloads on bitlord were really really slow. So then I tried using ares and usuallu ares would download for me at around 250 Kbs and then I was getting speeds of 1 Kbs on every download. So I uninstalled both and re-installed again and now both of them do not download files for me. I've tried downloading other programs like bitcomet but that's not downloading any thing either. I have norton anti-virus but I don't know if it's blocking it or how to check that it's blocking it. Someone please help..
