Yes, that is why I spread it out like I did. 2 days of rest between biceps/triceps and chest workouts. A leg day between the chest and back days and the shoulder day.

edit: oh sorry I think I misread what you said. Yeah you may be right but this routine has got me pumped up so I'm not going to quit it. There are other opinions and ways to plan your training ofcourse, but like I said this one has worked out for me, it may not work for someone else.

The most exercise I do every week is walking up to work every morning and back down to town every evening - about 30 mins walking everyday

That said I go to the gym 5 times a week, do some cardio outside also 5 times a week and play some footie once every 2 weeks.
Botond's on the mark mate.

Monday - Chest & Triceps
Wednesday - Biceps & Back
Friday - Leg & Shoulders

With Footy training on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a game on Saturday.

Once upon a time I did 4 days a week..

Monday - Shoulders, 9 sets, 2 different exercises, max 6-8 reps per set. 5 sets of squats, 6-8 reps, 4 sets of dead lifts..

Wednesday - Chest, flat bench, 5 sets, incline 4 sets, flies (or cables) 4 sets. Biceps 6 sets, 2 different exercises, triceps same.

Friday - Back, bent over wide rows X 5 sets, dumbell rows, 4 sets, lat pull down 4 sets. 20 minute run

Saturday morning, 30 minute light run, rower and bike...

I did that for 5 years. At my best I weighed about 22 stone, was benching about 120K with no spot, squatting 170K, and dead lifting 180K.... I trained with 2 of Ireland strongest men, one now holds a powerlifting world record.

Stopped doing big weights about 2 years ago, now just concentrate on cardio twice a week with 30 mins of light weights afterwards.

If every single one of you excercises so much, how come there are so many fat people wondering about?

What about you guys?
Does posting on the Caf count as exercise?

Having your mind, eyes, and fingers constantly on the go is quite a tedious task.

If yes, I'm OK.

120K not really big weights for benching, though, Eyepopper. I think 150K+ is.

I haven't, and I don't excercise all that much. Even so, I'm in better shape than about 90% of people I know, despite me being a lazy git.

i like to create the illusion that i have just lifted some heavy weights at the gym by standing next to some heavy weights saying "blimey, those were some heavy weights"

120k was for 5 sets of 6-8 reps with no spot. Realistically thats gonna be about 80% of your one rep max, I'd have gotten a rep or two out of 140-150 without too much trouble..

"better shape" btw. I obviously don't mean that literally.

Being a skinny git who can't run 100 metres without having a heart attack doesn't count as being healthy

I would do this if the weights were to appear or just happen to be next to me, however, I'm not prepared to walk over to some weights in order to do so.

I'm awful, unless i get some sort of enjoyment out of it i have absolutely no desire to exercise. People who go to the gym or just go out a "run" confuse me.

Give me a game, football, tennis. Any game involving running and i'll probably get a bit fitter but to just run? why????! i can't be bothered with that.

Saying that as you can imagine i am not very fit. A game of football once a week usually (not played in a few), some tennis occasionally and the odd skiing trip (which ruins my knees so that i cant exercise for weeks after getting back and then it still is uncomfortable but doctors tend to say "rest").

I don't really need to exercise much. I think I've got fast metabolism. Somehow I got my waist down to 31/32 this year. I can't quite work out I've managed it. I was trying to get a six pack a couple of months ago, but I really can;t be arsed now. Best way to get one of those is to simply lose the fat on your stomach, and do around a 10 mins ab work out a day. That's it. None of that 1000 sits up a day, bullshit.

But loads of chubby people at work and most of them claim to be in the gym 5 days a week. I find it weird.

that is fair enough, the key to this is to create the illusion of hard exercise without having to actually do any. the beauty of it is that you can use it for anything. if you find yourself standing next to a steep hill you can shout "that was a steep hill, i don’t fancy sprinting up and down it again" at strangers as they pass by. the possibilities are endless.

Aye

I run because otherwise I worry about keeping myself healthy, and keeping active is nowhere near as tedious as having to monitor what you eat all the time.

I used to play rugby, which was perfect. If you weren't fit you'd get found out big time. The only problem being that I found it boring, and then my dad started playing again, for the same club, which weirded me out.

It never ceases to amaze me how some right fuckin outta shape misfits claim to go to the gym regularly. What the fuck do they do there?? Fuckin around on a cycling machine with no resistance doesn't fuckin help anything. It really is a case of "No pain, No gain". You actually have to hurt a little to get anything real out of the gym.

You should see just how perfect my physique is BTW.

It's because they go to the gym, do what they've been told is the required amount of excercise, and then do sod all else. Meanwhile other people play football, do gardening, go to gay dance classes, etc. Whilst they drive everywhere, sit on their sofa, and stuff their face with burgers.

They think they're keeping fit, but in reality, I probably get more excercise than them just by walking to work everyday. I'm far from thin either, but I have to keep myself in some kind of health, otherwise I get paranoid about gradually getting fatter and fatter, until I can't run at all, and walk like a penguin carrying a seesaw

Fat people

That is pretty weird. Brother sure, father son combo? rare!

I've never played football with my dad, although my brother has, he's pushing for 60 and still plays once a week. He's fitter than me, quite embarassing.
