I gave blood once. The nurse looked at my face when she brought the needle and said "you know what, we will give you the kiddie needle". Not my proudest moment.

the trick is to get the cookie before they take your blood, that way you can then bail before they can get the needle in you. you do need to be fit enough to out run the nurse though.

Well that was surprisingly easy.
I'm amazed they pumped that much blood out of me in that short amount of time, was rather unnerving seeing the back rock back and forth slowly inflating. Good conscience, free OJ, pepsi, cheese & crackers and cake. Well worth it. |

I'm better than the lot of you. I've got hemochromatosis. Too much iron in the blood. To fix it they'll have to drain me regular. Might be up to 2x a week
which will make me a saint compared to you selfish, blood hoarding lot. A pale and somewhat wobbly saint...."This process is called phlebotomy, which means removing blood the same way it is drawn from donors at blood banks. Based on the severity of the iron overload, a pint of blood will be taken once or twice a week for several months to a year, and occasionally longer..." http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddise....htm#treatment Not best pleased and I wouldn't have thought it possible to give that much. We'll see. Funny thing is they've never taken my blud in the past as they reckon it could be plaguey. Was in China for SARS, Thailand and Cambodia for bird flu, and Borneo (malaria). They even turned me down once for having lived in England during mad cow. Also I'm drunk a lot. I guess they might let me keep the stuff, which will add up. Could sell it to PETA to let them throw it at women wearing fur. Contaminate crime scenes. Some sort of life insurance scam, perhaps. Ideas would be welcomed. I'll have gallons of the stuff. I could mail you some if you like. Bloody hell. |

One of my friends had a low platelet count iirc...so had to give my blood for that a few months ago.I'm shit scared of needles and I'd never even taken a blood test in my life before that if I could help it.
I felt quite proud of myself. That needle they shoved in my arm for close to 40 mins was fat as fuck. |

I want to give blood, but I'll admit I'm nervous about it. It really does seem an awful lot of blood they take

giving sperm is a hell of a lot easier and if you're lucky the hot male receptionist will help you out if you're struggling. i always pretend to struggle even though im perfectly capable of doing it by myself. he doesn't suspect a thing.

i was always afraid to give it but when my young cousin beacme seriously ill a few years ago she required a lot of blood so i felt i should start donating. I give every 3 months now and work always give me a few hours off to do it and you get a free glass of Guiness for doing so.
its something everyone should do really |

obviously most here are using the needles as the excuse that they dont give blood, when really we all know its because youre gay.
