I'm a PC, and Windows 7 was my idea

No it wasn't. You're just a poorly paid actor / actress being employed to flog me something I'm not gunna buy unless it comes ready installed on my next PC

Irritating adverts. But what really irritates me is those adverts that don't even make the effort to pretend that the hired actor / actress actually does work for them. Here's what I mean

Here's the bloke off the Red driving instructor advert, who promises to change my life if I ring him. No thanks mate, but I'm glad you're so enthusiastic about your new line of work teaching folk how to drive. Well done. And yet on comes the next advert...

Now he works for Simplify Digital. How hard is it to do you homework and find out some other company is pretend that he works for them, at the exact same time?

So of course I did a little bit of digging, and I found out he's the guy on the poster for First Capital Connect around London right now (at least he's owning up to just being himself here):

And that's not. He's done:

Unison - Police Community Support Officer
Discovery Channel - Businessman
Heineken/Drink Awareness - The Stumbler
NTL - Businessman
GP Magazine - Registrar
PriceWaterhouseCooper - Accounting Manager
XBox 'Gears Of War' - Photographer
Institute of Engineering & Technology - Engineer
Transport For London - Businessman & Disabled Home Office Worker
B&Q - Customer
Specsavers - Glasses Model
Sainsbury's - Scout Leader
Red Driving School - Instructor
Tesco 'Think 21' - Store Manager
E-On 'Carbon Footyprint.com' - Topless Fan
E-On 'Carbon Footyprint.com' - Celebrating Supporter
Specsavers - Retail Assistant
Avery Labels - Businessman

This bloke is everywhere! Now I get that actors have to do what work they can, I don't particularly blame Peter Halpin (that's his name) for this. But why do they all insist on making him pretend he's working for them in the adverts?!

Don't even get me started on Phillappa Rowe:

Who also happens to be a Red driving instructor. And an injury at work lawyer. And a teacher who got her qualifications by signing up to an ICS (you can!) course. Arrrrrggggghhhhh! Is it that hard to find different actors and actresses?!

However, neither of those two are the worst offenders. This girl is:

Rachael Buckley. ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH. She was fucking everywhere at one point. There she's working for Harveys. She does another one where she has a migrane. She too improved her career by signing up to an ICS (you can!) course - you'll notice some of these companies are serial offenders by now - I seem to remember her flogging me some shampoo, bah there were all kind of examples. She was an ad whore. She went on to do a little acting, but IMDB suggests she's been out of work since 2008

We salute you, Ms Buckley

Glad I got that off my chest. Thanks Cafites

Those ad's are pretty bad. I don't want your crummy operating system. I want my OS to be programmed by the geekiest nerd ever.

I bet the driving instructors don't ever get anywhere near 35000 pounds a year.

What advert is she posing for there? I'd love to let off in her cleavage.

Yes she was. First time I saw her. Liked her from the start.

Agreed. Wonderful show that barely got a chance. Something FOX does a lot of. I recently watched the series again. Outside of the music being changed for DVD rights, it's still a good show to watch.
