I've noticed that a lot of people who post in the general do not post in the united forum? Why is this after all its a manuited website!

I dont post in the general much as you guys are all too quick qitted for me! I prefere to get slated in the united bit.

How do you you get a picture on your username? Do you have to pay?

I post in both, more frequently in the general though. I post my well-reasoned opinions in the football forums, so I've had my say, then leave while it gets ignored by people who'd rather start arguments.

To receive a picture/avatar under your username, you have to photoshop a picture of golden blunder riding a pony through the grounds of the Eiffel Tower while shaking hands with George Bush and high-fiving a basketball player.

Too many people think their opinions are facts in the United forum and instead of getting in arguments, I stay out of there. I read it quite a bit and there is some good arguments and comments but, in my opinion, they usually either end up with people throwing a tantrum or everybody repeating the same thing over and over. I see no use to repeat what somebody else has already said which would be the case 90% of the time for me which is why I have such a low post count. I'm always too late.

believe it or not, there not actually that much to say about United. Without wanting to burst anyone's bubbles or anything; there's not really much to talk about in football that is anywhere near the slightest bit interesting. It's good to watch - but it's not very good to talk about. Seriously... to discuss football at great lengths, is kind of missing the point of it a little - it's not really an academic subject; though some trainee assistant managers on here would tell you different.

It appears that your fingers are a bit too quick qitted for you as well.

Seriously though there's only so much to say about United before it all starts to get repetitive and by the time I think of something good to say, someone else has already said it and someone else has already argued against it and there's already been five pages of debate by the time I get to whatever thread.

You're all football fans, right?

Football fans talk shite about football. That's what they do. Obviously, my pub conversation doesn't revolve entirely around football but if I'm sat with a like-minded fan, chances are we'll spend a fair amount of time talking shite. About football. Sure it's repetitive. Sure it's ill-informed. But hey, that's what blokes do.

That's the way I see this place. An e-pub to talk shite about football, with like-minded fans. It's a bit strange that some of ye are so jaded by this concept that you would rather swap knob jokes than chat shit about football.

Each to his own though. And I note that some of the people who've posted in this thread are regular contributors to the football/shite/talk stuff. It's the people who post exclusively in the General that are a little bit strange, IMO.

I'm not discriminatory about any forum. If there is a subject that takes my interest I'll post about it regardless. There are good and bad posts in all forums.

Debating anything on a forum is a bit unreal in my opinion

My football conversations in real life last about 5 minutes, once a week

What i never understand is when United are clearly shit one day, people will argue to the death that they weren't bad

And for that reason alone, i'm out

I completely agree with that! This forum is quite biased at times... But then some would say: that is the point as this is a Manchester United forum..

Fair enough.. But sometimes posters claim xyz players have a brilliant game but in fact they had a very average game... I prefer not to include myself in such conversations as I would be slated or treated as a WUM for saying something against their opinion... Either ways I am not here to stir up any kind of argument..

Despite the above... I will still post mainly in the Football related forums as compared to the General.. But I do like giving the General a read every now and then... It is very humorous & helpful from time to time..

It's a matter of opinions, I think. Some people have different criteria to say one's had a good/bad match.

As I said buddy.. I don't want to discuss that.. Leave it before it turns into an argument that I wanted to avoid in the first place...

That would be because none of the other forums have sexually explicit content warnings.
