No, it doesn't matter. You can put copyrighted works into the public (how else would we listen to music?). Any picture that you design is yours (barring anything like you've taken 90% of someone else's work and put your signature on it, for example) and you hold the copyrights to it. It doesn't become public domain by putting it in public.
