I think we need to establish a standard website for the tournament.

I haven't played chess since the 1974 world championships, and we all remember what happened then

The famous ear licking incident, I remember it well

You were the best of the best too. It's a shame it all had to end like that. I felt everything was under control until the Japenese nutter pulled your pants down...

Brad, is this going to be a one-game playoff or a best of three? I suggest a best of three.

Nah, this is cup competition knock out stuff ecantona, you show up and perform in the moment, or you're out

Perhaps the final can be best of three, hows that for a comprimise?

It's your competition so whatever you say goes but my reasoning for best of three was that for me personally I have to have a game with a person to see what skill sets they have and what moves they'll throw at me. After that you know what moves you can throw at the person and what you can't.
With that being said, one game is fine and for the finals best of three would be great.

Go on then Brad, if there's still room I'm in.

Haven't played for years though and wasn't that good when I did so I'll be easy pickings.

Sound reasoning. The only reason I'm gunna keep it like this is because people might be playing in work dinner hours, so time might be of the essence, or they might not be that good, and not fancy the humiliation twice over!

Get yourself to the final, then you can size up your opponent there for a game

Two more participants please, then we can make the draw

I think everyone should put £10 in a pot and whoever wins overall gets the winnings. You can send all the money to me and I will keep it safe for when I win

I agree, one program for all, otherwise we'll end up having to join about fifty different sites everytime we play another person.
