I think my first post may have been misunderstood, I was born in south manchester but now reside in the city centre. I went for the south as that is where I am 'from'.

Lived in Longsight/Gorton area when my dad was working there. Can't remember anything about the place hardly. Never returned to that area when I've gone back to the UK.

You know what I hate, when someone says they're from Salford, or Stockport or Trafford or whatever and some sad cunt says "then you're not from Manchester".
The City fans like to use this propaganda a lot...

I clicked on Salford before reading the descriptors. I'm on the Swinton side of the Swinton/Worsley border. Where do I fit Geebs? I'm all confused.

Just the lids of the ones for garden waste. You also get a black one, a brown one and a blue one.

It's a very ecologically sound area you know

Most of Salford's stuff is pink.

Salford is tough and hard enough to be able to wear pink without looking like a screaming bender of a town. It's secure enough in it's own sexuality...

Salford Council went pink that's why. The have a lot of banners and signs that are pink. It's all the regeneration and all that especially the whole BBC media centre place that's being developed.

Word!

I lived in Little Hulton and was about 100 yards from the motorway bridge that ran over to Farnworth....(New Bury to be exact....skanky place). On my side of the bridge everyone had a Salford accent....cross to the other side and they all talk like Peter Kay. Weird.

In other news....

I was born and raised for the first 5 years of my life in Salford....then moved to L/H in the early 80's overspill....i have now lived in Stretford for the last 5 years.

Where does that put me?

My heart says Salford...

Using this brilliant logic, then Old Trafford, Salford Cathedral, etc. are not in Manchester either, and Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and the Houses of Parliament are not in London aint it?
