I beg to differ, but isn't that the whole point of a discussion and the reason for having this website.

Usually when you are trying to shoot down someone's arguement you try and back it up with something more substantial than I am right you are wrong.

They don't need a poll to embarrass them, they are more than capable of doing that by themselves.

To refer back to a point I made in an earlier post, why did Wibble and his cronies only take offence when Paul Scholes was criticised, for weeks now on various threads Keano, Ruud, and Rio have been roundly criticised by various posters yet no action was taken, but when Scholes is criticised after he publicly admitted to being poor, all hell breaks loose. Can one of the mods please explain this to me.
Straw that broke the camel's back. The knee jerk reactions on here whenever the team form dips are pathetic and have been dragging the forum down for the past 2 years with many respected, knowledgeable posters having given up posting as they are sick of the tired garbage posted by the idiots in here. The singling out of Keane, Rio, Ruud, Fletcher and many before them when clearly the team as a whole are under performing really pisses me off and I was having a particularly bad day when I happened upon a thread where one of our consistently best players of the last decade was rounded upon by you and your numptie brethren for having the audacity/honesty to admit that he had been disappointed with his own form this year and stating his desire to improve.

To be honest we're spoilt for choice in terms of pillocks who serve little purpose on the forum other than as objects of ridicule, the three of you were just lucky to be in the right place at the right time when I came up with my little wheeze. Your response to it in particular highlights that your candidacy is not unwarranted while the 120+ votes cast thus far suggest that there are more than a few on here who agree that a little weeding is necessary.

Hell even vijay who believes that the poll is unfair and victimises poor innocent posters for doing nothing more sinister than stating their opinion has cast his vote.

When I saw Skeeta's name mentioned along with Red Joe and no7oz. I didn’t read the stuffing as I first thought it was some kind of a wind up, and voted.

Reason… Some time back we were discussing on big soccer boards about South American kids and coaching kids in general. In the football forum, when some one started a thread about training under 9 kids, Skeeta silently lifted our contents we posted on the other board, added his own ramblings and composed a big post, without sending an acknowledgement. So there is noting sinister about my participation.

Firstly Red Joe you are absolutely correct

You see this character Bury Red is doing nothing but in poor state abusing he's 'mod' status. Everything Red Joe has said is true and he fails to answer any of them with truth.

Firstly I dont know about the other two but I have for a while now been of the opinion that scholes as great of a legend he was, he is past it now and if we want to compete with the best clubs in the world we need new central mids. So knee-jerk reaction? Not. See Bury Red wasn't really thinking in making this poll rather just abusing he power as a mod.

Secondly serve little purpose? What is the purpose of a forum, for people wrong/right to express there opnions what you have done is halted that purpose, so its you who serves little if any purpose on this forum. No one forces anyone to agree or disagree with any post its simply a matter of discussion and you have been the corruptor in this forum.

Thirdly sure 125 people have voted, I wonder how that compares to total forum members. And its no secret that some people will jump at the chance to participate in this and they will no doubt advocate it until the shoe is on the other foot. Also I doubt the owner of this forum will mind the extra dosh he gets for ad's from more users.

You have done this forum a ***-service and should really be 'relegated' from mod status.

What's up 7z, upset that you came out of the poll looking the least pathetic of the three and are determined to make up ground?

As for the purpose of this forum, for most of us it's been a place to have a chat and a laugh over the years, we generally laugh with each other but unfortunately these days find ourselves laughing at many of the newer breed on here. The declining standards have driven away many decent posters and calls for a cull much larger than one jokey demotion have gone on for years.

As for the proportion of the forum who voted, 125 posters is probably 20-30% of the active posters who visit in a week. Despite the 5000 or so registered on the site, many no longer frequent the place and during any given week there are probably only 500 or so contributors.

Again you have no viable excuses of any of those points!!! Why dont you just admit what you did was a pathetic abuse of power and just idiotic.

And have you seen the results of the recent poll? And as for the proportion of this forum 112 VOTED to SIGN a NEW central midfielder which was exactly what I was talking about in reference to scholes and the central mid position.

Tsk Tsk
Shamefull

Abuse of power?

Kinell. How pompous can you get.

If we "abused" our power I think that at least 40 posters would either be banned or relegated back to the Newbie.

The levels of idiocy in the football forums is at a new high and largely prevents meaningful discussion.

Pull you neck in.

What is that supposed to mean? It's a fact that many of the older posters have pissed off because they are sick of the tripe posted by kids and prats on these forums. We know this for a fact as a sanctuary was set up to escape the idiocy and the opposition fans and the likes of RedPat, Ed the red, UKBob, Divine, RG, Arnie, RedPaul, TTR etc still post over there but generally give this place a very wide berth despite all having 1,000s of posts and many good mates on here.

As for abuse of power, get a grip you plonker. As Wibble rightly says, if we wanted to abuse our power we could simply empty the forum of all the clueless, pointless posters, WUMs and prats who generally clog the place up. The benefit of the doubt is something most of us Mods have been practising for far too long, do you really want to see what would happen if we acted on our judgements rather than giving people a chance to improve?

So the numbers voting generally agree with my suggestion that 125 is a reasonable turn out for a poll here. If you believe that the majority of that 125 mean a new central midfielder is needed to replace Scholes rather than Keane then you are a far bigger pillock than I initially gave you credit for. Of the 20+ sensible responses in that thread not a one mentions replacing Scholes, in fact most make clear that either Keane or Giggs replacements are the reason they opted for a new midfielder.

What you actually said about Scholes in your own irritatingly illiterate fashion was "Scholes a legend he is but he's legs cant carry it anymore." a view you will find very few share outside of the numpties and certainly not a comment conducive to debate about the merits of our players.

By the way, it's spelt "shameful" just as it should be "his" not "he's" and countless other niggling errors in everything you post. You can tut all you like but it's your ilk that have many of the better posters on here banging their heads against their keyboards.
