I don't really like the term "laws of physics", and "nature has to follow the laws of physics". Nature can do whatever the fuck it wants, the "laws of physics" are just man-made mathematical models that best fit what we usually observe.

What happens when a particle with mass reaches the speed of light? We don't know, 'cos we've never seen it. We've made these nice models that predict what will happen, and they seem to fit pretty well up to 0.9999 times the speed of light. But we've never actually reached it, so we've made a law that claims it's impossible.

It's almost like someone making a mathematical model pre 1999 claiming no-one could ever win the premier league, champions league and FA cup at the same time
