What, you mean you Johnny ex-pats don't just point at her with your mouth hanging open like us lot? Scandalous.

Movies with subtitles. Regardless of quality, there will be one cunt who will call it "moving", or "visually stunning"

Well said that man.

When I was in Primary School - South Park. Nowdays the show is hillarious, but back in the 'OMG you killed kenny....' days it was trash.

I do enjoy using a bit of irish in everyday life, I was referring to people who talk about how terrible it is what's happening to the language, but who can't speak a word of it and don't want to learn.

Good man. And yes, God Only Knows is decent. Best album ever? Pffft...

Moving on, not so much stuff that's "cool" but stuff that lots of people like but is absolutely shite.

Judd fucking Apatow. Superbad (a film with a title that provides the perfect review) Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall etc. I've recently been on a holiday with loads of long distance flights and have watched (or at least started to watch) all three of the above movies. Fuck me, they're awful. Yet I still have mates reciting lines from Superbad, like it's Animal House or something. It's not. It's shit.

Well yeah, that's the point of the thread. It's not to suggest that the things being posted are bad, the thread just highlights what people say they are into, or what they like, or opinions they may have purely on the basis that it's cool to do so; which may be in stark contrast to the reality of their life

Over here whenever I am approached by one of those over-zealous, prozakly-friendly students looking for me to give him "2 minutes" of my time to donate money to this years most fashionable cause I respond in Irish.

The facial reaction is the same every single time. Utter confusion.

So yeah Pogue.....good call

Agreed. I posted something similar a few pages back. It's probably the one that gets me the most. People need to realise that in this day and age there are many ways to learn. It's ok if you're not a bookworm. I don't mind bookworms so they shouldn't mind me. It's those fucking twits in between who feel the fucking need to carry around a book in their back pocket as a fucking fashion accessory. It's almost as bad as fuckheads who wear those nerdy glasses that have normal non-prescribed lenses in them. Eh....so you're wearing glasses but they aren't actually glasses because they serve no other purpose but to make you look a certain way.

Fuck. Why do people like this exist ?

Mmmmm yeah I would definitely have to say Arty London types. You know what really irritates me - Art Students. Right....so to begin with, most if not all of them have that creative zest to be an individual. It seems to go hand in hand with being an art student. It's to be expected. Some of these students are absolutely incredible, and so I'd imagine their need to express themselves is high on the agenda.

But the irony of the whole thing is that all of them, in an attempt to add their visual flavour, end up looking the same. So in truth, the smart fucker in art school who keeps their style as close to mainstream as possible will be the one looking the most unique.

In particular I hate female art students who wear colourfully striped tights. They scare me and give me an overall impression that they don't shave and they don't wash that much.

Male art students feel the need too frequently to indulge in a bisexual lifestyle. This, would be in synch with the pupose of this thread. It's ok for male art students to be straight. It doesn't mean Daddy's going to love you any less. You won't loose your friends over being straight

I have an awesome pair of glasses for reading and TV.

I remember when I was first prescribed with them back in grade four, after a serious bout of migranes and throwing up constantly for days, I thought it was the end of the world. Eventually glasses became cool, now every fucktard wants a pair like mine.

Fuck off I say. Leave glasses to the people who have eye problems.

I'd have to also add 'Puns' to this thread. Folk that use 'Puns' but don't really like them.....but just use them to be cool. That really grinds my gears (thanks Peter)

Oh I have another one. I was in this boozer last night near Brixton. I would have assumed it being Brixton there are quite a few er.......real.......sort of folk around. Working class communities seem to prevail here which is something I like.

So these 5 girls came into the pub and ordered Champagne. Cool.....maybe they were celebrating something. So I'm outside ear wigging and one of them started to talk about Pizza you can buy in the local Brixton market. There were no gasps of excitement when the low price and delicious taste was mentioned. The feckin orgasms started once the girl threw in the fact that the pizza was ".....all organic....."

For the love of God
