Can't find it online yet but they read it out on SSN, basically said even though they said they didn't want to sell him before if Milan are still interested they'll do business.

I met Phillipe Senderos while i was on holiday in Miami last week, he was just in the mall. I tried to get gossip from him about signings, all he said is that he doesn't know who's coming, just that apparently a few players want to leave.
Not really news as such, but i thought i'd mention it anyway. |

No actually. I didn't even tell him i supported United to be honest. It was just a bit cool to see a Prem footballer out there, a real one that is.*
* note that my friends and i went around telling the girls we were 'soccer' players on vacation during the prem off season. I told mos girls i was Sean Wright-Phillips actually. They believe anything. |

Is sending a letter not an incredibly juvenile thing to do (if true)? You're basically announcing yourself as a desperate seller. If it was an attempt to get a bidding war going between Milan and Barca then it's pretty hamfisted. Now that Milan have made this letter public then it's going to be obvious to Barca that they are being played. And if no sale is agreed then how will they welcome Adebayor back to squad if it seems like they were trying to flog him to other clubs? If this is being made up by Milan then Arsenal better respond strongly as it makes them look really bad. Are they going to get the ridiculous money that has been quoted by being so hamfisted about this whole thing? I guess they assumed Galliani would keep quiet about the letter (if genuine). I would have assumed the way these things were handled was by subtle hints at meetings like the UEFA shindig yesterday. Not letters that you cannot deny in the future. If the letter is genuine then Barca know they are being played, Adebayor knows he is not wanted, and Milan may not want to spend 30m plus on a player when the world now thinks Arsenal are desperate to sell (and Galliani may have burnt bridges now anyway). Spurs got 18m for Carrick by playing the reluctant seller. They didn't get it by sending a letter to United asking them to please make an offer. I guess we'll have to see what the final tranfer fee is for Adebayor to know whether Arsenal have handled this right. If the letter is genuine then he is certainly leaving. |

According to Galliani he had recieved a letter from Arse-for-sale giving them the right to negotiate for the player. The only problem now is finding the right deal with the player. |

It's kind of impossible that they rejected a few bids from Milan and Barcelona, all of them high, to act that way only a week later. |

Give it up lads. He isn't going anywhere.
Mods should have the responsibilty of filtering out the crap in this transfer forum. As it is often the shit that rises to the top, rather than sinking to the bottom where it belongs. I don't know who could do it, but preferably someone who isn't swept away with every story found printed in the tabloids. Skysports seems to be sinking to new lows. |

And Skysports have been on a downward spiral since last year, they just take believable stories from the rags and then put them on their site. Which inevitably gives the stories more credibility. |

Don't you think that it is highly unlikely that, given the girls had no idea who Sean Wright-Phillps is, they would know that he was only 5'6 or so? |

Sky Sports News are just shit stirrers. They seem to believe EVERY source nowadays. If Marca or The Sun say Ronaldo has agreed a 5 year deal at Madrid; SSN will make it their "Breaking News" headline story for the day and just blow up the whole thing, making people believe it's 100% true. The thing is, the majority of watchers/readers will believe them, simply because they are "Sky Sports". They certainly have sunk to new lows.

AC Milan target Emmanuel Adebayor is a step closer to the San Siro after Arsenal dropped their asking price, according to the player's agent.
The Rossoneri have long been linked to the 24-year-old but reportedly balked at the hefty transfer fee which Arsenal slapped on his head However, Vincenzo Morabito claims that the Gunners have now almost halved the price tag, claiming: "We're arriving at more reasonable figures." "We're working to make the deal easier," Morabito told Italian television channel Antenna3. "The signs are very positive. "It's still a lot, but a lot less than the 45million euros that were initially asked for. A bit more than half. "More than that of (Samuel) Eto'o and (Didier) Drogba but they are a little bit older." |
