Alan Dzagoev

Voted the best young player of the year in the Russian Premier League last year. Plays for CSKA Moscow, highly rated. With our acceptence that young stars are the way to go I reckon this kid would be a good buy.

How the fuck did Rene from "Allo Allo" end up managing a football team in Russia?

Maybe he was "just pissing through" & got a lucky break!

Here's Sky sports scout evaluation.

Unfortunately I can't get a FM screenshot in 2015 to see his attributes.

Manchester United are the latest club to be strongly linked to the highly talented CSKA Moscow teenager Alan Dzagoev who has been dubbed the ‘New Andrey Arshavin’. If he were to move to Old Trafford he would join a growing number of his compatriots who have moved to the Premier League alongside Arsenal’s Andrei Arshavin, Chelsea’s Yuri Zhirkov, Everton’s Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Tottenham’s Roman Pavlyuchenko.

The 20-year-old is already a full international and is widely regarded as the future of Russian football. Dzagoev was born in Beslan and began his youth career with the club he supported Vladikavkaz before moving to Krylia Sovetov in the Russian 2nd division. Despite being just 16-years old he scored 6 goals in 37 appearances for the club before CSKA made their move. The youngster has been tracked by a number of Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Arsenal but it’s Manchester United that are expected to start the bidding this summer.

Dzagoev was slowly blooded into the CSKA first team starting numerous cup matches and played an integral role in a cup win in his first season scoring in the quarter-final, semi-final and final. He has since become a mainstay of the side making 20 league appearances in 2008 (18 starts) and scoring an impressive 8 times. The teenager showed that despite his slight frame that he is not scared to mix it with opposition defenders having been booked 6 times and red carded once in that season. Dzagoev also picked up an award as the Best Young Player in the Russian Premier League. He played the majority of these games either in the centre of midfield or as a 2nd striker behind main man Vagner Love where he has struck up a particularly impressive partnership.

Throughout 2009 Dzagoev continued his impressive form with 7 goals in 27 league games (26 starts) which alerted a number of clubs around Europe to his quality. He also featured heavily in CSKA’s Uefa Cup campaign which included success over Aston Villa before being beaten by eventual winners Shakhtar Donetsk. These displays have not gone unnoticed by Sir Alex Ferguson who is looking to add some more youthful quality to the Manchester United squad.

This season Dzagoev has scored an impressive five goals in eleven league appearances (10 starts). This takes his record to 20 goals in 58 league appearances for CSKA Moscow (54 starts). Such has been the impact of his displays that Manchester United have reportedly made the Russian their number one target. Sir Alex is not afraid to take a chance of young talent and there is no doubt that Dzagoev fits that criteria perfectly.

He loves Chelsea, probably a big stumbling block for us. Yes he did play in the Champions League and he scored against us at Old Trafford.

The guy is a truly promising midfielder and unlike the other promising talent in midfield (Anderson) he can score the goals. He's the kind of player United like to sign. I mean he is young, he comes from a smaller side and he is promising. Id love to see him at United.

But we don't need a Russian Messi. We need someone who takes his time and lets the game come to him.

Yayyyy! the now typical transfer speculation cycle is complete.

Quote:
CSKA Moscow star Alan Dzagoev has insisted he is not eyeing a move to England.

The Russia winger has been a long-term target for Chelsea, while he was also linked with Manchester United earlier this week.

But he says: “Now my dreams have changed.

“I am drawn more and more to the warmer climes – Italy or Spain.”

Manchester United and Arsenal have been put on red alert after CSKA Moscow striker Alan Dzagoev revealed he would consider a move to the Barclays Premier League reports talkSPORT.

The 21-year-old is rated as one of the brightest young prospects in all of Russia, and after rejecting the chance to move to Serie A, rumours are rife he could be on his way to England.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is on the lookout for a new striker, despite having recently signed Thierry Henry on a short-term loan deal at the Emirates Stadium.

However, Arsenal are likely to face competition for Dzagoev's signature from Manchester United, as Sir Alex Ferguson continues to monitor the situation with a view to bringing him to Old Trafford.

"I want to move forward as a player," said Dzagoev. "I have heard many rumours about my future but they are not true.

"If I ever have to choose another club, I would prefer a move to Spain or England - the two biggest leagues in the world."

Despite strong interest from AC Milan and Juventus, Dzagoev looks to have made up his mind, and would relish the opportunity to showcase his talents at either Arsenal or Manchester United.
